Hello everyone, I welcome you all once again to my blog and I am very excited to write and share this interesting and important article with you all. Today, I write to share with you all my experience and what transpired at the Hive Ghana Tech Conference which was hosted here in Ghana and I was a witness and part of it.
This amazing conference took place on the 9th of March 2024 after Ghana celebrated our 67th independence on the 6th of March. When the event was scheduled, I was skeptical about attending it or not until the last days of it. It being a conference hosted in my country, I decided to make it up for the program no matter what happens.
Although it was hosted in my country then the place was quite far from where I live at the moment so I needed to prepare ahead of that day. A couple of us here attended the program from Tamale and we were myself, @yahuzah, @abdul01, @rubilu, @depressedfuckup, and @nhaji01. The program was to be hosted in the morning so we had to leave Tamale on Friday so we could get settled before the next day when the event started. The journey was 8 hours and we were very tired when we got there so we had to book a guest house for a day and have a rest before daybreak.
After 3 hours of rest, it was almost time for the event so we prepared and onboarded a taxi which took us to the Campus, precisely the Great Hall of KNUST where the event was hosted. When we got there the number wasn’t that encouraging though but as time went on the attendance increased significantly. I called @nattybongo and informed him we had arrived and they welcomed us nicely.
That was my first time seeing my Hive Ghana colleagues based in Kumasi, Ghana. After years of having Discord meetings we have finally seen each other and I am excited and happy for that opportunity. Not forgetting, one of my best friends @abenad also made it to the event and surprisingly I was just seated next to her, haha 😆. The funny thing is that I never noticed she was the one, lol 😂.
When the event was over, we took pictures and also some videos as well. It was a nice experience and the students enjoyed the program as well. A lot of members were onboarded on the Hive platform and I am glad to see some of them already making their introduction post on the Hive blockchain. A lot of speakers came on board including our very own @mcsamm who spoke about the Hive blockchain and educated the people about the benefits and importance of joining the platform. One last amazing and interesting thing was that I was able to meet and make a new Hive friend @mynewlife who was a special guest to our Country and the Event as well.
In brief, that was what transpired in the Conference.
