Today is Monday 29 June 2026. We are almost done with the half year.
I am nearly to sleep. But I remember I has pending to do my Self-review of my blog.
It’s Monday (last minutes), June 29th, and as I look at my analytics for the past 7 days, I’m reminded of the unique challenge of being a content creator on Hive during a bearish market cycle.
It is easy to post when the green candles are flying and rewards are high, but maintaining the courage to show up every day when the market is quiet? That is the real test in my opinion.
Here is a breakdown of my performance over the last week.
📊 The Numbers: Small but Steady
Looking at the Analytics dashboard for the last 7 days, the results are modest but consistent:
- Author Rewards: 203.92 HP (~$10.28)
- Curation Rewards: 17.2 HP (~$0.87)
- Witness Rewards: 0 HP
- Total Earned: Approximately $11.15
Let’s be honest—earning around $11 for a week of work isn't going to make anyone rich overnight. In a bull market, these numbers might feel disappointing. But in a bear market, where liquidity is low and attention is scarce, generating over $10 purely from content and curation is a victory in itself. It proves that there is still a community here valuing the work.
📈 Account Growth: The Long Game
The most encouraging part of this week’s data is the Account Growth chart.
- Starting HP (June 23): ~15,040 HP
- Ending HP (June 29): ~15,150 HP
Despite the market conditions, my Account HP (the orange line) has maintained a steady upward trajectory. While the daily Reward HP (green bars) fluctuated—spiking on June 25th and 26th before tapering off—the overall trend is positive.
This growth is crucial. In a bear market, fiat value (USD) might look stagnant or depressing (as seen in the "Total Earned" chart where daily earnings hovered between $0.75 and $1.80), but HP accumulation is the real metric of success. By compounding my rewards, I am increasing my voting power and future earning potential for when the market inevitably turns.
🧠 The Difficulty of Courage
The hardest part of this bearish situation isn't the technical aspect of posting; it's the psychological toll.
Looking at the Total Earned (USD) chart, you can see the volatility. On June 27th, earnings dipped to around $0.75. On days like that, it’s difficult to find the motivation to write another post or curate another article. When the market is red, it feels like you are shouting into the void.
However, the data shows that consistency pays off. The days with higher earnings (June 25-26) likely correlated with higher engagement or better timing. The "courage" required here isn't about making a million dollars today; it's about the discipline to keep the orange line (Account HP) moving up, day by day, regardless of the USD price.
Conclusion
This week was a grind. The curation rewards were low ($0.87), and the author rewards were modest ($10.28). But my account grew by over 100 HP.
To everyone else building on Hive during this quiet period: Keep going. The bear market filters out the noise. Those of us who maintain our courage and keep compounding our HP now will be the ones ready when the sun shines again.
