¡Feliz noche amigos!😋

Good evening, everyone here!

I know I’ve been pretty, pretty inactive around here, but you know it’s never too late to come back. And what better way to do it than with my workout today—it’s special, since it’s my first workout to prepare for the 2027 CAF Half Marathon. Join me, and I’ll tell you a little more about it here.

It’s time to get into long-distance running and prepare to run the 21 km—of course, I won’t be doing it for the first time on February 21, race day. Today I ran my first 15 km of the year; it was a long run at an easy pace, but boy, did I get tired. That just goes to show I’m not even close to being in shape yet, but I still have time to start improving and achieve a good time.

The pace I ran at was quite a bit slower than I’m used to—almost 8/km, 7:57/km to be exact. My run lasted nearly 2 hours, and it felt like a full-on workout, hahaha, but I need to improve because the goal is already set; now it’s time to work toward achieving it.

I’m nervous, happy, scared, and more than ready to prepare for the CAF, especially with the support of all my runner friends from #hiverun, Bochinche Running Club, and other clubs in Maturín who’ve offered me words of encouragement.

That’s all I’ll share for now, but I’ll be back, and I’m more than happy to share the many stories I have in store. I feel a deep and meaningful connection to running, and I have some great experiences to share with you all. Have a great night, friends!😋
