@paramedic is a trained emergency medical professional who gives pre-hospital care and transports patients; a @parasite is an organism that lives on or in a host and benefits at the host’s expense, as defined. One saves people in crises, the other survives by feeding off another organism, so they are about as opposite as two words can get.
