This is actually my first time writing here. I remember how dumb I acted as a Child, I can't help but laugh.
People have done unbelievable stuff as children, but I think mine supersedes them all. I even feel ashamed writing about it right now but then promise me you won't judge me for my actions. I was just being a kid
While growing up as a child, my dad was barely at home due to the nature of his job. I am the first child and as of when this incident happened, I was 7 years old while my younger sister was just 5 years old.
Due to my Dad's frequent absence at home, we started staying in the same room with our mum till he returns.
On this fateful day, I noticed my mum putting something on her pant before putting it on. I wanted asking her what it was but I then remembered how she scolded me for asking endless and useless questions and warned me to stop such attitude and ask about things that concerns me alone. Since that was none of my business, I kept quiet and watched it what happened.
When she was done and had left the room, I quietly went and carried the stuff she used and was looking at it. It looked so familiar, It looked like a diaper I said to myself. But then this one was a bit smaller than the regular ones I have seen. I concluded that it must be for adults.
The next day while I was preparing for school, I carried it and put on as well and went to school. While I was in school, I couldn't wait for break time to show my friends my new discovery. It was finally break time, that was how I took them to the restroom and showed them what I was putting on(which was not even properly fixed).
I told them that it was used for preventing their pants from getting dirty and they were all excited about it. I promised to bring some for them the next day since my mum had plenty it.
That was how I took it to school the next day. We were unusually early that day. I gave them all to put on, which they did and I helped them in doing that. We felt so excited about it. In our little minds, we have gotten a solution for keeping our pants clean.
The next day while I was preparing to go to school, my younger sister saw we putting it on and asked me to do same for her which I did as the loving elder sister that I am.
Just for that girl to run and show my mum what I did for her.
My mum ran back into the room and screamed my name "BETTY!!". I was just looking at her innocently because I knew I was in big trouble. She immediately raised my skirt and pulled my pant and to her surprised I was on sanitary pad.
I have never seen my mum laughed that hard before. I was so confused on what was happening. She was supposed to scold me for taking what was not mine without permission. "Why is she now laughing?" I asked myself.
I told her that I was sorry, I didn't want my pants to be dirty that was why I was putting on the pad. She laughed and said to me; "Betty, this is not used for preventing your pants from getting dirty. It's used for something more. When you grow up, you will understand better."
That was how she removed it from us and took us to school.
My friends asked me about it (as their supplier) when I got to school. I explained everything that happened to them. They were all sad but then it was what it was.
I can't believe I did something that dumb. Now that I am all grown, anytime I and my friends talk about that whole incident, we burst into laughter.
Thank God she did not find out that I did take some to school previously.
Conclusion
Children are always watching your every move as a parent. Be careful of what you do in their presence. Children easily misunderstand and imitate things.
