Hello, my dear readers! Today, I want to share an experience I had here in Lima when I met up with a friend. We studied together in Venezuela, and for years after graduating, we continued spending time together.

She has been living in this country longer than I have, but she doesn't go out very often. So, getting our schedules to match is a real gift! Work schedules can be complicated, and when you add Lima's traffic to the mix, things get even harder. But we made it happen!

We went to Plaza San Miguel, a well-known shopping mall here in Lima. We walked around and explored until we got hungry, so we stopped for some McDonald's burgers. One of the funniest things was that we were both wearing green, as if we'd planned it together! 😂 We looked like sisters.

God opens doors in our lives for us to meet special people who end up staying by our side as friends. We graduated around 2011, and years later, we're still friends, sharing the experience of migration in the same country. I find the whole thing truly amazing.

One little anecdote from that day is that it was my first time traveling alone to another district. I'm still getting familiar with this huge city, and I usually go out with my daughter. But this time, I went there and came back all by myself! The adventure reminded me of my trips to Caracas. 😁 And now, we've made it happen here, too!
