Bedzin Castle
Hello guys!
Yesterday we visited to Bedzin Castle in Katowice. It was a 20 min drive from our hotel.
The exhibition was okay but we didn't take any photos. I'm not even sure if we were allowed to take photos inside. On the other side was the tower and you had to keep your head low. Everywhere was a 'Uwaga!' sign with means Attention!
At the top we had a nice view over Katowice.
Back down again we went around the castle but there wasn't much to see.
We decided to drive to the nearby city center to find something to eat. There was a shopping gallery which we entered. The shops were all closed because it was Sunday. Somewhere upstairs where many people so we thought there might be some food restaurants. Coming upstairs, I could not believe my eyes. I saw Popeyes which I only know from food videos. Sadly enough, there is no Popeyes in Germany.
I told my wife we have to eat here. She had no clue what Popeyes is and how I know about this beside the fact that I watch a lot of food videos.
I got a chicken burger which I knew from the videos and some vulkan wings. I thought they might be very hot, but it was just a sweet chili sauce which wasn't hot at all. The burger had a hot mayo which I liked. She got some chicken tenders and we shared some fries. It was very delicious and I would go there again.
Then we went to the Christ the King Cathedral which was mentioned to be the largest cathedral in the country, built between 1927 and 1955, with a coal altar in honor of the miners and guided tours. The building is impressive from the outside and the inside.

I wanted to buy this kings chair for my living room but my wife disagreed.
The we walked around the city for a while.
Memorial to the Silesian Insurgents
We drove back in our hotel and met a last time with my son and his wife. We walked around a park before we headed over to a pizza restaurant to get some pizza and beer.
