I love reading books. I also watch movies, but I am to rate. I will rate reading my books 80% while watching movies. 20% reading my books is one thing that gives me peace of mind. Most times I read my books for entertainment. One amazing thing about it is as I am entertaining myself, I am also acquiring more knowledge. I only watch movies when someone recommends the movie for me. I am not really a lover of movies; most things I sleep off whenever I am seeing a movie.
I don’t know if I am the only person that when I am reading, I am always curious; I think I also try to interpret the book in the best way I should. They will always say knowledge is power; you get that knowledge by reading your books.
I am a book person. If there is something I love so much, it is reading my books. I can remember when I was still a kid; I would cry for my dad to take me to a library. I remember back then saving up my snacks money to buy books. At a point my house becomes a library for my friends; they will always come to borrow books from me.
I am a book person more than a movie person. I can’t sit up for two hours seeing movies, but when it comes to reading, I am ready to stay the whole day reading my book without getting bored. I find my voice in those books. It enables me to have a clearer understanding of the word; the more I read, the more knowledgeable I become every day.
Literature was my best subject back then in secondary school. I really had a passion to become a writer. I put in my best at a point in my life when I talked; people would ask, How come I know things above my age? I became more knowledgeable, and I think critically.
Reading books has really enriched my life in so many ways. I couldn’t believe that I would be where I am today. The experiences and histories I gathered from those books contribute to my success story.
I find joy, understanding and knowledge in reading books. My imagination keeps widening. Each time I read a book, I have been able to make such effective decisions in my life based on the knowledge I have acquired from those books. For me, reading is a necessity of man; every human needs to read.
