The world keeps developing every day. The internet space has really changed the way people become famous. Over the years before you become famous, it requires a lot of hard work, meeting the right people, and then, if luck should shine on your side. Things are really changing; a single video can transform an ordinary person into a celebrity, and just a viral post of them can attract thousands and millions of followers, views, and life-changing finances. Currently, everyone wants to be a content creator because they are searching day and night for particular content that will capture the world’s attention.
Everyone wants to go viral; most people have done extraordinary things just to go viral, both reasonable and unreasonable. Social media is flooded with videos from different creators performing reckless pranks, hanging from skyscrapers, thus putting their lives in line in the hope of receiving attention from the internet and getting more followers because of their views and skyscrapers, one putting them in will be creating the content.

Of late, I have had a few of my internet friends asking followers questions for views and about risks. Most importantly, is creating content just to go viral really worth it?
Content creators always point out the incredible rewards a single video that goes viral is capable of, changing someone’s life, for example. Most of these content creators have turned to celebrities overnight; some have secured a lot of endorsements from different firms, and some have successfully launched their own businesses. I know a lot of content creators whose lives have changed just by a video that went viral; most of them never imagined they would be where they are today. We are currently living in a world where attention is very valuable; going viral is capable of opening close doors that we once seemed to be permanently closed.
If you take a look at the world today, you will totally understand why people are ready to take bigger risks than others. To some, the belief is you don’t need to stay in one place, and that implies taking risks. One thing about content creators is they see temporary danger as a worthwhile investment, which may lead to their long-term success. We also say that life is full of risk; if a content creator is willing to take the risk, so be it.

The most important thing is taking a calculated risk and not a reckless one. Some of the challenges leave content creators with serious injuries, damage properties, or get arrested, or some will lose their lives in the process, all because they wait to entertain their followers just to make sure they keep trending and also earn.
Most times they are not hurt physically; it can be psychological and emotional consequences. The ones who keep chasing likes and views from people do that, and they will keep trending. Content creators think out of the box to create shocking content because there is a need for them to always up their games. The moment you start creating content, it will be very difficult for you to escape.
My concern has always been the influence these videos have on the viewers, especially the younger generation. The big question isn’t whether going viral can change someone’s life. The main question should be, "What is someone willing to sacrifice to achieve fame?"
Success that is earned through consistency and genuine talent has a stronger foundation than success that is built on dangerous publicity. They can become famous easily, but there is a possibility that it will not last. But genuine talent lasts much longer.
One viral video can change someone’s life, but the question is if it changes it for the better or if they are full of regret.
