October New Zealy Campaign: September results

September’s campaign is over and now we begin a new one! Welcome October’s Zealy campaign! (Join October’s Marketing Campaign! | $5,000 Prize Pool (@leogrowth), 2023) The objectives this time will still be to onboard as many people we can to HIVE, however, we are focusing more in Leo’s rebranding! We will have a whole month for that, though. Let me tell you about my last month’s campaign and how it ended at last.

How did it go?

In my last post, I told you how my daily basis quests went and what I did achieve. (How My Zealy Campaign Is Doing so Far, 2023) I also made a little fun video tutorial about how to onboard people using the new LeoInfra feature, capitalizing on existent google accounts. (Signup Using Leo! (@cpol), 2023) Pretty nifty and seamless if you ask me!

For all that hard month, I got in 8th place in the leaderboard! Yes, me!!! That means, I received 75 HDB, and for a month, I also got two delegations: 1000 LEO tokens 500 HIVE. Not bad for a hard earned month of quests.

Originally, the prizes were 5000 HBD for September, but something went wrong with the rebranding process and it was delayed, so they reduced the prizes. I was not happy with the situation, but I think we all gave our best, and 75 HDB was still good in my opinion. Let’s hope this time everything goes smoothly, and although I don’t entertain myself the thought of sneak again into the top ten, I think the worst thing I can do now is not to trying to push myself into the high rankings. I think I can do it, and if I don’t, I will learn a lot in the process!

Lessons learned

Speaking of which, I learned this time how properly make a threadstorm using the hashtags “threadstorm” and “outreach”. This is pretty useful when you want to write longer threads, but you don’t have enough space. You can write them in short chunks and add images to it if you like. Awesome and super simple!

I also understood much better the process to make something viral and get a lot of views on Twitter. It’s not easy, but you can refloat your tweet using quotes and trying much better hooks and more persuasive headlines. This is one of the ways in which we can benefit from web2 social media to funnel more views into web3 ecosystems such as HIVE!

Another lesson I learned was that the community is very receptive once you interact with them. You can say a thousand times GM in your threads, but that won’t work if you don’t have anything to say. Just talk about interesting stuff! It’s not enough to tell people what they want to hear. It’s about how we say things and how they receive it! This is communication 101, but most of the time we overlook this. The message matters and how we convey it, too! We must not forget that!

Conclusions

It was a very rewarding month for me, specially intellectually speaking. I was thrilled to get into the top ten and that encourages me to keep working hard. I don’t think I can be that active as the past month due to some obligations I need to attend during October. Nevertheless, I will try my best to take part on it as always!
