I finally reached 100 followers!
This is after 601 posts since I joined Hive in September 2021. I figured these 601 posts must have included comments. There is no way I could have posted two blog posts per day.
What is the significance for me?
I consider reaching 100 followers as a feat for me, no less. I guess my next target is to reach 200 before September 2023. That would be a clear indication of my progress as a Hive blogger.
What would be my strategies?
Of course, the ultimate thing is to be of value to others. This is the way a new friend who comes across my post or comment becomes a follower.
First, I need to write posts that are of real value to readers. This is about creating the product that sells. As I used this account as a place to collate my thoughts about my crypto thesis, I had been candid and honest in sharing my ideas and thoughts. I hope readers are entertained with it, and they got something out of reading them. Besides ideas about investment, I also dabble with coding such that I can create something that could be useful, mainly with Javascript.
Second, quality interactions that catch others' attention are also important. This is where comments and responses could lead to new followers. I am also generous with my !PIZZA 🍕 gifts. Mostly for the fun of it. This is how I make friends on Hive!
Lastly, associated with quality interaction is the amount of vote value I bestow with my upvotes. Currently, I think my 100% vote is $0.16. I won't deny that big accounts get followers' attention easier. At least I tend to follow Hivers with high HP. With Hive at a discounted price now of about 50 cents, it is a good time to consider powering up my account so that my votes become even more lucrative. Might have to stop stocking up Bitcoin to boost this Hive venture of mine.
In summary, 100 followers is a nice milestone. I shall work towards my next 100 followers! Being of value to other Hivers is the ultimate guiding principle.
