Just last November 2024, me, my cousins, and aunts decided to visit Capelinha de Fatima chapel. I was really excited as I really loved going to church (it became my peace), and my aunts knew that. That’s why every time they will visit one, they never forget to invite me. As for me, it will be my very first time visiting the Capelinha Fatima Church that time. Thus, I was 10 times excited to go there.
Living in Danao, City, a ride of almost two hours was necessary to reach Capelinha Church. Just when we are almost there, the road towards it becomes very curvy and bumpy. Hence, safe, slow, and careful driving is important. Upon our arrival at the place, it didn't disappoint me. It is very peaceful and quiet, plus the background Christian music being played. I can 100% really feel the holiness and calmness of the place. It is now already one of those churches that I like to come back to anytime.
After finishing the sight-seeing, we sat and quietly prayed until the mass begins. After the mass, there will be a blessing session wherein the priest will bless the water you brought with you, and of course we grabbed the opportunity to take part in it. Especially for me, this will matter a lot being with a younger brother who has special needs. As someone who never gives up believing everything will be fine, I grab it, it's an opportunity for me.
Then we went to the area where we can light a candle and pray. Candle lighting can be an offering after the Mass or can be done prior to the Mass, a tradition that shows faith. After that, we took home different kinds of rosaries, bracelets, and a small pocket prayer.
Based on my experience, Capelinha de Fatima it not just a church, it is more. It is a place of peace, a museum of faith, and a hospital for wounded souls, just like me. This place can be for those who seeks for guidance, comfort, or those who just want to admire this place of holiness. In this place, you can have a pause, reflection, and enjoyment-in-His presence. Without a doubt, this holy place and plus your strong sense of religion can give you hope, peace, and joy.
