This post of mine also served as an inspiration to all on how we handled ourselves here in the Province even in a simple way. All of us loves to lived in a cool, relaxing and peaceful place and I am very lucky to lived here in a quite and peaceful areas. Here at the Farm, we conducted coconut harvest and its been few months since we did not harvested the coconuts. Our work and obligations here is truly challenging because it really needs to went at the Grassy areas just to look for any scattered coconuts. Wearing thick clothes just like jackets and pajamas and hat is very important since we experienced slight extreme heat. We started to do harvesting at exactly 7 in the morning, a perfect time to work because it is cold and the extreme from the sun has not yet happen.
Separating those coconuts contains sprouts is very normal here and this is what we always did everytime when we do coconut harvesting. The coconut that have sprouts on it are well placed at the shady and cool areas so the sprouts will grow very fast. We really want to have lots of it so we can replant it here at the farm and our coconut plants will become more and more. Today, we gladly collected almost 20 coconuts that have sprouts and we kept waiting until those sprouts will grow longer and taller as perfect length to replant at the farm.
Why I really like to lived here?
The reason why is we can plant different kinds of agricultural plants and crops added with that the great and wonderful views that can make ourselves peaceful and calm. Even if it is very tired, but still very enjoyable and very important to become productive always.
During coconut harvesting activity, after falling those coconuts by our hired men we immediately gathered it in one place so it can be very easy to hauled and transferred to the nearest road. We decided to sell it in pieces because copra production is very difficult now-a-days because of the rainy season since we only depend on the Sunlight. Even green one atleast it is ready and perfect to harvest are also falled down.
What Makes Special for Us Here by Selling Coconuts?
The reason why is that selling coconuts is our primary source of income. With my Father's hard works and dedications ww finally achieved the fruitful of success.
Living in a simple place also have a simple way by preparing foods. Dry firewoods are very important to us here because we don't use stove or any hightech kitchen materials. Gathering it is very important so we can use lots of it in our everyday life. Dry coconut leaves are well cut into short length so it can easily placed inside of the sack and we can carry lots of it when we back home. This is very practical because the items sell at the store goes inflating and we can save lots of money instead of buying expensive stove and gas tanks.
Gathering dry firewoods is quite difficult specially when it falls to the grassy areas, we don't know if there are snakes or any dangerous animals lives at the thick grass that is why it really needs to be more careful. Despite of having a challenging situations, still I felt very enjoyable and proud of my work and obligations. If we truly love our works, we don't feel tired and we will surprised about the great results if we keep ourselves productive.
Aside of coconut trees, we also have few big manggo trees planted here but this is not really our primary source of income but a good kind of business. Every manggo season, lots of manggo fruits produced here and sell at the market. Gladly we have healthy manggo trees and it gives a cool and shady areas perfect for rest for a minute and spend time seating under the big tree.
As for our hired men working coconut harvesting, their job is not easy and very dangerous. Despite of that, they still did their best to do their work perfectly and giving a great pay for their labor and hard works is very important. We sees how dangerous their works is and I salute to all of them. This is one of the reason why lots of people really loves to lived in this kind of place.
