In a tweet responding to The Wall Street Journal, Elon Musk explained that Twitter is now on its way to paying off its debts if it continues on its current path. Despite being one of the richest men, Elon is gradually proving that problems cannot be solved simply by throwing money at them.

It hasn't been an easy road for the billionaire, who manages decisions for Twitter, SpaceX, and Tesla. On Twitter, he has been back and forth overselling verification blue checks and at times considered filing for bankruptcy. However, according to Elon, the statistics remain strong, with daily users and minutes used per day still reflecting positive values.

The reason for Elon's optimism about the purchase is because Twitter has made the first payment on the $12.5 billion it borrowed to buy the company.

The problem with Elon's claims is that they cannot be confirmed as the company is now private and therefore, the Security and Exchange Commission does not have access to its complete records.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Twitter has been making losses since 2019, and since Elon took ownership, changes have been made to the work culture among staff, including firing half of them and requiring staff to sleep at work.

Elon has had a difficult time lately, holding the world record for the first person to lose $200 billion in a year, with Tesla's shares falling 37%. He also faces lawsuits from former staff and just settled a court case over some tweets.

There are reports that Twitter is not paying its rent, according to several credible sources, and Elon has complained of intense back pain.

It's easy for someone like me, who is struggling financially, to feel bad for Elon. I talk to my friends about how billionaires like him break themselves, and I don't find it particularly admirable. The worst part is that it's not just the ultra-rich who have to endure this level of suffering to achieve success.

I have been trying to get my finances in order lately and it's been a difficult task. I think it will remain a challenge as the years go by until I am used to this life of bending and breaking.

Those are my thoughts on the whole situation. Let me know what you think in the comments section below. Do you think Elon has what it takes to take Twitter out of debt? Do you think all this is worth it?
