Cuando visitas ciudades tan hermosas y montañosas como Cuenca, no puedes dejar de ir a sus miradores, en esta oportunidad te hablo del Mirador más viral y conocido de la Coidad de Cuenca, llamado Mirador de Turi, un lugar desde el cual puedes ver toda la ciudad y además degustar de la rica comida que hay en la zona, los restaurantes que están alrededor y más arriba, también disfrutar de la artesanía, la música, la diversión y el clima frío.
Hay varias formas de llegar al mirador, aun cuando el acceso es el mismo. En vehículo propio, en taxi o en el bus turístico que recorre primero todo el centro histórico de la ciudad de Cuenca para luego subir al mirador. En nuestro caso, fuimos en taxi, es mucho más económico y rápido, ya que no contábamos con vehículo propio y el viaje en bus tiene un costo de $8 por adulto y $5 por niño, mientras que el viaje en taxi solo costo $5, que era lo que marcaba el taxímetro.

There are several ways to get to the viewpoint, even though the access is the same. In your own vehicle, by cab or by the tourist bus that runs first throughout the historic center of the city of Cuenca and then up to the viewpoint. In our case, we went by cab, it is much cheaper and faster, since we did not have our own vehicle and the bus ride costs $8 per adult and $5 per child, while the cab ride only cost $5, which was what the meter showed.

Nuestra visita al mirador de Turi fue en la noche y tiene una razón de ser, para poder ver la ciudad iluminada, es una belleza 😍, una vista increíble, y sí miras más allá de la ciudad, el horizonte, wow, contemplas lo grande que es todo y lo pequeños que somos dentro. Al ser feriado había mucha gente, pero es lo normal en el mirador, así tomar las fotografías no es tarea fácil. También hay visores por $1 y bueno, Ammy pagó por usarlo, pero no logró ver nada, así que supongo que fue una estafa jajaja.
Si miras hacia arriba hay restaurantes y también discotecas, más adelante del mirador y a solo unos metros esta el puente de Cristal, nos dirigimos hacia allá y por supuesto que yo solo seguía al resto, pues mi idea no era caminar sobre el puente de Cristal, donde literal su piso es de vidrio y puedes ver metros hacia abajo. A mi me da fobia, vértigo de todo jajaja y sabia que no funcionaria conmigo. Sin embargo, mi amiga pagó la entrada al puente, y pasamos, pero yo me quedé a unos pasos de la entrada, mientras mi esposo y niños si llegaron a la punta y disfrutaron de la vista.

Being a holiday there were a lot of people, but that's normal at the viewpoint, so taking pictures is not an easy task. There are also scopes for $1 and well, Ammy paid to use it, but she couldn't see anything, so I guess it was a scam hahaha.
If you look up there are restaurants and also discotheques, further ahead of the viewpoint and just a few meters away is the Crystal bridge, we headed there and of course I just followed the rest, because my idea was not to walk on the Crystal bridge, where literally its floor is made of glass and you can see meters down. I have a phobia, vertigo of everything hahaha and I knew it wouldn't work for me. However, my friend paid the entrance fee to the bridge, and we went over, but I stayed a few steps away from the entrance, while my husband and kids made it to the end and enjoyed the view.

El puente de Cristal también funciona con un restaurant con la hermosa vista a la ciudad. Allí puedes degustar asados, postres y una variedad de comida que son características a la gastroenterologo Ecuatoriana. Creo que más que ser un sitio para disfrutar en familia, es para ir en pareja y disfrutar del romance que desborda el lugar.
En el mirador de Turi, hay varias paradas para tomar fotografías, puedes subir, hacer recorridos y visitar algunos lugares incluso sin realizar consumo. Las personas suelen ser muy amables. También hay pequeñas pistas de baile 😏 en las afueras del lugar donde solo los más valientes bailan, mi hija Ammy bailó la macarena y nos divertimos mucho apoyándola.

In the viewpoint of Turi, there are several stops to take pictures, you can go up, make tours and visit some places even without consumption. People are usually very friendly. There are also small dance floors 😏 on the outskirts of the place where only the bravest dance, my daughter Ammy danced the macarena and we had a lot of fun supporting her.

Al terminar el recorrido bajamos del mirador en el bus turístico, al cual mi hija mayor llama buses al estilo New York. Nos cobró solo $10 por llevarnos a todos ya que iba de regreso. Subirse en ese bus fue una experiencia única también, fue sentirse como niños, de hecho, nuestros hijos disfrutaron mucho ese paseo de retorno, aún cuando hacia mucho frío y el viento era helado. Llegando al final del recorrido comenzó a llover y tuvimos que bajar, la parte de abajo del bus es una pista de baile, allí mi hijo menor y yo bailamos música típica de Ecuador y también disfrutamos la pista.

At the end of the tour we got off the lookout point on the tourist bus, which my oldest daughter calls New York style buses. It only charged us $10 to take us all since it was on its way back. Getting on that bus was a unique experience too, it felt like being a kid, in fact, our kids really enjoyed the ride back, even though it was very cold and the wind was freezing. Arriving at the end of the ride it started to rain and we had to get off, the bottom of the bus is a dance floor, there my youngest son and I danced to typical Ecuadorian music and also enjoyed the dance floor.
