Cumpleaños de Lunita [Esp/Eng]

 

Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos? ¿Cómo están? Para que todo muy bien, gracias, adiós. La verdad, con un poquito de el azúcar alta porque hoy ha sido chuches y chuches, así que creo que si me hacen un examen hoy de la sangre, voy a ser la primerita que voy a salir raspada porque de verdad creo que hoy me pasé un poco, jajajajaja.

To be honest, my blood sugar’s a bit high because today’s been nothing but sweets and more sweets, so I reckon if they did a blood test on me today, I’d be the first one to fail – because I really do think I went a bit overboard today, hahahahaha.

Ustedes de verdad que por aquí estarán bastante extrañados porque yo casi que todas estas semanas le he compartido cumpleaños diferentes y pues sí y déjenme decir lo que todavía falta una persona por cumplir años que es mi jefe, nosotros no lo sabíamos hasta este año porque muchas de las personas que están son nuevos pero resulta que todos los cumpleaños caen cerca es decir lo que fue septiembre y ahora parte de octubre estamos todos pegados para cumplir años así que eso ha sido fiesta y fiesta rumba y rumba De dulce que bueno no nos las quita nadie.

You’ll probably be quite surprised by this, because for almost all of these weeks I’ve been telling you about different birthdays, and well, yes, let me just say there’s still one person left to celebrate their birthday, and that’s my boss. we didn’t realise until this year because many of the people here are new, but it turns out that all the birthdays are close together – that is to say, from September and now into October, we’ve all had our birthdays one after the other, so it’s been party after party, celebration after celebration. As for the treats, well, nobody’s taking those away from us.

El día de hoy estaba de cumpleaños nuestra compañera lunita la llamamos así porque se llama luna pero ella está en cuchi y siempre está En la luna literalmente pero la verdad es que es muy buena compañera y siempre está atenta todo el día de ayer estábamos comprando los regalos Cosa que hacemos normalmente reuniendo entre todos y siempre elegimos unos regalos pero esta vez créanme que fue todo un correcorre porque fue última hora así como también la torta y otro tipo de cosas pero como dicen por ahí el buen venezolano siempre deja todo para última hora. Ok, la verdad es que yo les puedo decir que hoy así del día que he comido más chuchería en todo este tiempo porque hasta fresa con crema entre todos decidimos hacer sin sumar la torta que era de 3 leches, así que siento que tengo muchísima más azúcar en mi cuerpo. Es lo normal, pero si me preguntan, la verdad fue un cumpleaños bastante divertido y lo más importante es que a la cumpleañera le gustó todo. Saludos, amigos.

Today was our colleague Lunita’s birthday. We call her that because her name is Luna, but she’s a bit of a daydreamer and is always ‘in the clouds’ – literally. But the truth is, she’s a really great colleague and is always on the ball. We spent the whole of yesterday buying presents – something we usually do by chipping in together and always picking out a few gifts – but this time, believe me, it was a right rush because it was all at the last minute, just like the cake and all sorts of of things. But as they say, a true Venezuelan always leaves everything to the last minute. OK, to be honest, I can tell you that today, of all days, I’ve eaten more sweets than I have in ages – we even decided to have strawberries and cream, not to mention the three-milk cake – so I feel like I’ve got loads more sugar in my system. That’s to be expected, but if you ask me, it was actually a really fun birthday and, most importantly, the birthday girl loved everything. Cheers, mates.
