El camino para llegar a un mundial de fútbol en una selección suele ser complicado, al menos que sean: Argentina, Alemania o Brasil, por citar algunas selecciones, más, sin embargo, en ciertos momentos de la historia de estos países, han tenido su dificultad de cara a conseguir un boleto mundialista, podríamos poner un caso en específico al país de Italia, potencia del balompié, que no sabe que es un mundial desde la cita en Brasil en el año 2014.
La historia en mi natal Venezuela con respecto a la selección nacional, es bastante frustrante, por varios motivos, no es nuestro deporte número 1, y en el camino a conseguir ese boleto a un mundial, hemos sufrido una serie de fracasos futbolísticos, que van desde, abultadas goleadas, hasta llegar a tener posibilidades reales de clasificar, inclusive una vez, estuvimos muy cerca, (Para el de 2010) bastaba con ganar ante Uruguay en casa, y no pudimos pasar de un empate a dos goles, complicándose luego el camino al mundial.

Ganar a toda costa | To win
Decir eso, es lo que nos queda como venezolanos, cuando no tenemos una historia futbolistica como nación, ganar a toda costa, significa hacer lo que sea para conseguir puntos, y lograr finalmente ir a un mundial, eso es, olvidarnos un poco, de que en la cancha, se debe jugar bien al fútbol, para llegar allá, y más que eso, emplear más el juego en colectivo, y nuestra selección no tiene eso, al menos no al nivel de otras selecciones de Sudamérica, es duro decirlo, pero es así.
Hacer una crítica con el periódico del día anterior, como lo dice un famoso refrán popular, es muy sencillo; eso es hablar siempre, en base a lo que ya ha sucedido, cosa distinta sería, hablar de posibilidades, de formas de juego, y de como se debería afrontar un determinado rival, todo parece muy sencillo estando desde afuera, pero el mas interesado a que todo salga bien dentro de la cancha, después del técnico, es el propio jugador.
To say that is what we have left as Venezuelans, when we do not have a soccer history as a nation, to win at all costs, means to do whatever it takes to get points and finally go to a World Cup, that is to forget a little, that on the field, you must play good soccer to get there, and more than that, to use more the collective game, and our national team does not have that, at least not at the level of other South American teams, it is hard to say, but that's the way it is.
To criticize with the previous day's newspaper, as a famous popular saying goes, is very simple, that is always talking based on what has already happened, it would be a different thing to talk about possibilities, ways of playing, and how a certain opponent should be faced, everything seems very simple from the outside, but the most interested in everything going well on the field, after the coach, is the player himself.
Cuando nos vamos a lo sucedido en el reciente juego entre Venezuela y Perú, nos encontramos con que la selección nacional, debía tomar una actitud mas agresiva y mas en conjunto, eso, si quería lograr los 3 puntos y alcanzar puestos de clasificación o repechaje, algo que resultó mas complicado de lo normal, a pesar de jugar en casa, cuando casi que estaba pidiendo la hora, y con un único gol de penal, convertido por Salomón Rondón, fue lo poco que pudo hacer.
Eso por supuesto le alcazó para conseguir 3 puntos mas, y seguir en carrera al próximo mundial de 2026, ese resultado los coloca con 15 unidades, 1 por encima de Bolivia, pero está dejando a un lado, que estás últimas fechas en toda la historia de las eliminatorias, las selecciones no regalan nada, y todas quieren sumar, una especie cómo de, que a medida que se acaban las oportunidades, se busca más el ganar, una fase eliminatoria dónde Venezuela debe resistir un poco mas y asegurar jugar mas en colectivo. ¿Creen que Venezuela llegará por fin a un mundial?
