Hello Hivers
Welcome

Back to #leofinance, well actually I've never really left, I've just been a bit busy and haven't sat down in front of my computer to write something about finance, but I didn't want to write anything trivial, nor something empty of content or at least express something a bit transcendental, as far as possible since I depend on my own resources and I'm not at all an economist or an expert in finance and cryptocurrencies, I just consider myself a crypto enthusiast and a voracious reader. I can spend hours and hours researching X or Y topic. I tend to be very self taught.

Now, after a crypto-conversation with a friend, we both realized something that at first gave us a lot of laughter and then we lamented about it. But, what am I talking about?
I want to talk about the Venezuelan fiat currency, yes, I am talking about the Bolivar (Bs).
At this point in South American history, it is no secret that Venezuela has one of the highest inflation rates, so high that for years now people have been talking about hyperinflation. I believe that the current national economy, if it can be called "economy", is the product of a lack of principles and a deep political crisis. But that is another matter.
What I mean by the title that a meme has more value than the national currency of Venezuela, is that the Bolivar as a currency has been steadily depressing to the point that today with a US dollar is equivalent to more than 3 million Bolivars, and what meme am I talking about, I mention the cryptocurrency called SHIBA INU. I know that recently I heard somewhere that the developers of SHIBA stated that this cryptocurrency is an experiment to see if the same thing that happened with DOGE would happen again, that a currency that was born as a meme would end up having a considerable value.
I started to investigate but I did not find this statement by the developers, so I do not know how true this is, but what is certain is that this new cryptocurrency is an uncertainty, personally I just started to read about it, but the most amazing thing is that this cryptocurrency that has just been born and that has a very low value, and that apparently was born as a meme, already has a higher value than the Venezuelan Bolivar with respect to the U.S. dollar.

To make this more graphic let's do a simple exercise of imagination. Imagine that you have $10 USDT available in your favorite exchange. Now, with that $10 you can exchange it to Bs and in the exchange you will obtain more than 30 Million Bolivars, well, with that same $10 USDT if you decide to buy SHIBA INU you will obtain approximately 1.400.000 SHIBA.
Now, I think about the future of these two currencies, with respect to the Bolivar its future is not very hopeful unless they take action on the matter with respect to its policy, and the productive system is seriously reactivated, and with respect to the SHIBA, I feel that with a good project it could have a promising future.

I think that having Bolivars in my bank account is devaluing my money, on the other hand if I buy SHIBA and wait, maybe a year or more, for this crypto to gain strength and I could double my money in a matter of time. Personally I would buy SHIBA now that it is at a very good price, and wait a year or two, although it could be good or not so good.
What I just mentioned is not at all a financial advice, it is the sharing of my ideas, thoughts that arise in my leisure time, I must make clear that the amounts I handled on the Bs-Dollar ratio, and on the other hand the SHIBA-Dollar pair are approximate prices, I did not intend to be strict in the amounts since the main idea is not the prices, but to reveal how a fiat currency like the Venezuelan Bolivar can depreciate in an unstoppable way and how cryptos can be the economic solution to so many current problems.

Let me explain more carefully, today in Venezuela a dollar is not more than a kilo of sugar, and thanks to the cryptos we can invest that dollar in SHIBA and buy about 140 thousand SHIBA, and if we go holdeamos, we wait 7 years, and in the best case this currency takes strength and confidence, and the currency begins to rise in value to the point of costing after 7 years, $1 equivalent to 1 SHIBA, and your investment of just one dollar, would turn into 140 thousand dollars in a matter of time.
This is only a hypothetical case, it is not a prediction, this could happen with any crypto, or it could not happen at all, and in the worst case we would only lose $1 dollar, which we could say is nothing really, it is not an amount that if we lose it does not affect anything emotionally speaking.

I say goodbye saying again that this post is not and is not intended to be a financial advice, and to give my opinion on how hopeful is the crypto economy against the traditional economy.

Thanks for reading.
