Like the first week of 2023, the second one has not been a dull week either. Unlike the first week, we've got price action that got some people excited.
I'll start with crypto news today.
Week in the Cryptocurrency World
After a significant period of sideways movement, bitcoin had a strong rally this week, and altcoins followed and were growing even faster in many cases.
The recovery stopped at the previous major resistance, around 21k.
While there are reasons from the crypto sphere alone that could trigger a rally (this news about the FTX bankruptcy cannot be overlooked), it is only part of the equation.
It was a wider risk-on movement that included many of the stocks of technology companies too.
I don't know what exactly started this rally, it may be just the fact that the prices of these assets were considered too oversold for the current situation we are in. But it definitely looked like a wider move than crypto-specific.
As I mentioned in another post from this week, I wouldn't draw the conclusion that is the end of the bear market. While the economy is still shaky and layoffs still hit the news, confidence on the markets will remain relatively low.
Week on Hive
Splinterlands
The Splinterlands team conceived an informal method of making proposals for community members until they implement the official option into the game:
They also released the revised roadmap for 2023 (up to Q3):
MuTerra Alpha Launch
MuTerra Alpha version is live! This is a TCG + RPG type of game, which runs on Hive and has NFTs on both Hive and WAX blockchains. This is the whitepaper for the game.
And this is their discord. And their Hive account: @muterra.
There is an ongoing airdrop for their only token MUT, which also started yesterday and will go on for years, with the first year giving out significant more than the following.
The game launched yesterday in alpha, and I haven't had time to test it out yet. I have much more questions than answers right now. For example, I didn't discover how to associate the tamer license with the free tamer we received yet. Not sure I want to right now. I'd rather have the airdrop.
At first impression, it looks like a game that requires some time. And that I don't have.
If you want to play and invest something in the game, I would appreciate it if you set @ga-sm as your referrer (you need a tamer license minimum to earn rewards, and that's $10 at half price).
Leofinance
Today is the 15th of the month, so it is the LEO Power Up Day (LPUD). Don't forget to power up your LEO if you stake them!
I've just done my part:
A little over 323 LEO powered up, for a total of 10,989.892 LP. A little short of 11k, but the month is not exactly half right now and in the second part, with LPUD out of the way, I will stake more often.
