Week Adrian Lenses.jpg

Let's see what we have for this week's roundup.

Week on Hive

This was a slow week on announcements for Hive... Summertime vacations kicked in or people are holding back their announcements for Hivefest? Maybe a little bit of both...

Leofinance AMA - Packed with Information

The Leofinance AMA from this week is packed with details about already rolled out features or expected ones. If you don't want to listen in, there is a list of the major talking points in the post. Great times ahead!

Community Token Talk Podcast

I didn't have time to listen to it yet, but by scrolling through the post, the linked tweets promise this is going to be a very interesting episode.

World Cup 2023 Kicked In

... and with it another contest organized by the HiveBuzz team.

GO and Bots

Bots are not allowed in Golem Overlord, and they started to purge accounts found to break this rule.

Life of Hive

"Hive Goes to School" Project - Phase 2 Results

This week the project Hive Goes to School from Venezuela published a post with their results after the second phase of the project. The post is in Spanish only, but you can use something like DeepL for a good, even great translation.

They talk about 50 Web3 and Hive presentations made in 20 schools from 4 different locations (all different cities?) in front of 1624 students total. They also attended and presented at two conferences in Madrid, with decent participation, from the images.

Hive was also featured at national TV and radio in Venezuela, and in 3 Spanish-language articles (2 of them in Cointelegraph). Hive & Liketu were also presented in other events.

For most of them there are links to posts that speak about each particular event.

Quite impressive! Here's the post.

Construction of the 10th Hive-Funded Borehole Started in Ghana

I think I'd better leave the posts (and images) do the talking in this case. I selected two different posts, presenting two phases of the project (before it all started and while they worked on it):

Bull or Bear - Philippine Web3 Debate at Ayala Malls

Here's comes another region of the world to my weekly Life of Hive section.

In the Philippines, looks like a great debate over what it is now a bull or a bear heated up. Before that, a number of speakers talked about different topics. From Hive, we had @nathansenn. To quote @jobeliever, who was inspired to cover the event in her post, this is what he talked about:

he discussed how secure our data privacy, ownership control, financial inclusion, and token economy. He also includes our Hive Ecosystem which has more applications, tools, games, and services offered by Hive.

Week in the Crypto World

Google Play Now Allows NFT Games in Their Store

Google Play announced they'll allow NFT games to their store, but only if they are clearly stated in game description and no gambling.

UK Will NOT Regulate Crypto as Gambling

Apparently, some committee thought it would be a good idea. The UK government disagrees. Who would have thought I'd agree with the UK gov't?

Celsius Network Exits Bankruptcy

After last week its former CEO and founder was arrested, this week Celsius Network reaches settlements to exit bankruptcy. Any claimer will receive an excess of 5% ontop of what Celsius owed them.
