It's the 6th Day in a month of October and as a lady it is an important month called the pink months where there is an increase in the awareness against breast cancer and menopause. This day is represented by a pink ribbon and the is global campaign in order to educate people in various means about the dangers of breast cancer and how they can be self-aware of the symptoms as an early stage.
This pink month in October is mainly for women because we are the victims of these diseases that plagues our health, in other words it is dedicated to promoting early detection and support to people who are affected by educating them and offering help when the case arises.
Based on my experience, the woman's body is vulnerable to different kinds of diseases that affect them at their reproductive age. Most of the diseases that happens to women has to do with their reproductive organs and these diseases comes with symptoms that are painful and requires immediate attention if not they would be victims of death or loss of vital organs. Aside from breast cancer, other forms of diseases that women encounter that poses threat to their lives and their mental well-being includes fibroids, PCOS, pcod, pid, ovarian cyst, bartholin cyst and so on.
October, is a special month because there is intense global awareness campaigns that private organizations or individuals carry out to raise funds for women who cannot fund their medical bills when they are inflicted with this cancer. Seminars are carried out by ngo's to screen women so as to check out their status. However, women are advised to take care of themselves by partaking in day self care activities to check for early signs of breast cancer.
Here are some methods you can employ to take care of yourself and to be sure that you are not a victim of breast cancer, some of these includes self-examination of the breast every week or months, it is advisable to do checkups at health centers close to you. Women are also advised to be at alert to any changes that occurs not only on the breast but any part of the body, looking out for lumps, discharge, pain, pus and so on.
Finally, women are adviced to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy meals with the incorporation of green vegetables and do some basic exercises once in a while.
