My Kalpvruksh Coconut Tree
Hello friends and community greetings and Happy World Tree Day! I would like to share my entry for the community challenge/contest on World Tree Day. I am glad to express my respect and value for trees (including all trees)which are very important for all creatures on earth for Air, water, fire, shelter, and ground. Thanks to #plantpower(vegan) and #lnleo for giving us a chance to express our gratitude respect and love for nature's most important part the tree. Thanks to all the sponsors for this contest, doing a good job of supporting this important contest. I love forests, trees bushes, grass, and plants But because of limitations, I chose the most valuable tree in my life- The coconut tree.

I have a strong connection to coconut trees as a Goan since childhood. In our daily lives, we utilize coconut, coconut oil, coconut brooms, weaved coconut leaves, coconut husk, and coconut shells. Although we didn't have any trees or a garden around our small house, we received supplies from my grandmother, uncles, and family friends. Our neighbor had several coconut trees, and I have fond memories of greeting the sun shining through those trees every morning in my childhood.

When we built a new house, we planted several coconut trees around it.

Taking care of these trees made me grow more attached to them, as well as to other trees and plants. Normally, coconut trees start bearing fruit after around 5 years, depending on the soil.

Now, we are proud to have around 50 coconut trees in our Indian garden, surrounding our house with greenery and fresh air.

The coconut tree is known as the "tree of infinite possibilities" due to the various uses of every part of the tree. Its leaves are used for weaving mats, thatched doors, and roofs, and even making walls. I experienced this firsthand when visiting my grandmother, whose house was built using coconut tree materials.

The husk of the coconut is used as a fire stove alternative to wood, for boiling water, outdoor grilling, and cooking. We also use it to make coir pits, which serve as excellent manure sources. Additionally,

The coconut fruit itself is a valuable source of oil, while the tender coconut water contains essential minerals, nutrients, and antioxidants. Coconut milk, meat, oil, and dry coconut are commonly used in diets, especially within the vegan community.

The shells are employed in making bowls, toys, ornaments, utensils, and even active charcoal for water filters. That active charcoal we use in our water filter system in India.

Coconut husk is primarily used for making durable and strong ropes

Coconut tree flowers are utilized in Ayurvedic medicine and for making toddy, a fermented juice similar to alcohol.

Using a broom made from sticks from fallen old leaves is very helpful in sweeping the garden.

Making a DIY broom is more enjoyable than buying from the market.

The tree's roots are also used in Ayurvedic medicine, particularly for treating thyroid imbalances.
Lastly, the wood from the coconut tree is used in house construction.
I show my gratitude for all the trees shrubs, plants grass, and greenery. I try to plant at least 10 plants in our Indian garden during my stay there. When I go to visit somebody I take one plant as a gift for that house. As a human being everybody used to do it by planting one tree. gifting one plant. This is a big gratitude and respect for Mother Earth for taking care of it.
Thank you very much for reading my post.
I am not a good for selfies.
