Hello warriors, how are you doing today? I wanted to write this article yesterday but the network of my location was very poor and I was also busy during the day. When I came back from work, there wasn't time for me to write an article.
Writing splinterlands articles is part of my life so I must find space to write it. That was the reason I decided this morning to write it.
When I woke up in the morning, there was nothing in my head. I couldn't think of anything to write. Few hours later when I received inspiration to write; what came to my mind was SPS (Splinterlands Governance Token).
I remembered the first time Splinterlands Governance Token was launched; it was launched in 2021. If I could remember vividly, it was around August 2021. My friend messaged me that I had some SPS airdrops in my wallet. This was because he had access to my game via the keys I gave to him. Splinterlands was launched before then, probably July 2021.
The moment I logged in to my game account, I saw my SPS; it was more than 30 SPS. I kept the SPS because I don't have the idea of what to use it to do.
There was news that a player will receive SPS everyday for a year.
The first Splinterlands Governance Token (SPS) was launched, the price was $1; as more was released into circulation through airdrop, the price was dropping.
Since I didn’t have an idea of what to use my SPS to do; and the price was dropping very fast. I decided to convert my SPS to hive since the price was dropping.
Today, SPS price is far below expectation: the current price of SPS is $0.0248.
With the current price of SPS, is there hope for SPS this year?
That was the question that came to my mind.
To my perception, I believe more SPS are in circulation and more is being printed. This could be the reason for its falling.
A friend of mine once said, “don't sell your SPS, it might be $1 or $2 tomorrow. Look at those defi cryptos with trillions of tokens while some of their values are not to SPS price”.
That was when the price of SPS was $0.012.
The moment I looked into some Defi coins, I realized that splinterlands governance token could pump. This can only happen with:
Burning Mechanism: there was a blog I read last year that talked about burning 1 SPS from every stake reward would be beneficial to the game economy. It is believed that burning of SPS could make the price go up.
Bull Run: Bull Run has positive significant effects on cryptos. I believe if there is a bull run like 2020 when #bitcoin was 60k, it could help the SPS to pump. Look at the present price of SPS and compare it to last year when #bitcoin was below 30k. There is a positive change in SPS price right now. If the market continues to go up like this, by the time BTC is $70, the price of SPS will also increase.
Whale: A Whale can be an individual or a group that holds large amounts of crypto or #nft. A whale has the capability to course changes in particular crypto.
For instance, if a group of whales purchase large amounts of SPS today; it will have effects on SPS. There may be an increase in the price of SPS.
Also, if a whale decided to sell his SPS today, it may also affect the price of SPS.
Can SPS (Splinterlands Governance Token) reach 40 Cents in 2024?
Back then when 1 SPS was $1 in 2021, it was a blossom year for all the players, especially the big players. They were enjoying the airdrop. It was a great year that some of those warriors cannot forget because of the quantity of airdrop they got.
I was wondering this morning if SPS could reach 40 Cents this year.
Nothing is impossible in the crypto market; a coin that is $0.001 today could be $1 tomorrow. That is the reason SPS can be 40 Cents this year . One thing that is sure is that it all depends on the factors- government policy on BTC, Bitcoin halving, bull run, whales to invest in SPS, burning mechanism and many more.
BRAWL NEWS
Playing brawl these days is not that easy for me because you can just pick any fray in my Guild. 2 weeks ago after all players had selected their gray, I was left with rebellion cards of which I don't have. I ! managed to win 4 out of seven battles.
The recent brawl, I was quick to pick a fray; I Picked ‘all cards are playable’. After I set up my battle, the first player that was ready to battle with me was patitofeokua he is
Lebios Guild.
I love the way he arranged his monsters but I was too smart. I loved the way he used Drybone Barbarian; position Venari Marksrat in the first position to increase the stat of Drybone Barbarian.

Ruleset
Noxious Fume: All monsters start the battle poisoned.
This is the reason I used one healing monster here-Quora Towershed. I was very sure that the monster would survive the battle without getting eliminated by noxious fume
Lost Legendaries: Legendary monsters may not be used in battles.
This rule was the reason legendary monsters were not available for selection. A Legendary monster like Doctor Blight would have been available if this rule was not included.
Heavy hitters: All monsters have the knockout ability.
This is where stun monsters like a spirit shaman are very effective. The reason I did not use spirit shaman was the stun ability is activated in level 2 while this battle is level one monsters and summoners.
Monsters Arrangement
Mycelic Infantry
Shield 🛡️ ability was the major reason I placed this monster in the first position. Though, the only position Mycelic Infantry could be useful was first position; aside from the first position, there is no position that could be useful like first position.
Its armor was very advantageous in this position due to the monster my opponent used. Without the armor, three health would have been damaged.
Mycelic Infantry was eliminated in round 2.
Flesh Golem
I never looked at the monster very well; I didn't know that level 1 of Flesh Golem did not have healing ability. Flesh Golem wasn't given a chance to attack, it was eliminated in round three.
By the end of round three, I was left with only a monster while my opponent had 5 monsters left.
Fungus Flinger
Position Fungus Flinger in-between Flesh Golem and Quora Towershed was to increase the stat of the two monsters. The most important thing to me was to increase the stats of Quora Towershed. When Fungus Flinger was eliminated in round 2, the stat of Quora Towershed and Flesh Golem increased.
Quora Towershed
This is my top monster in this battle… position Quora Towershed as a third monster was a strategic plan to reduce the health of opponent monsters before it leads the battle. That was exactly what happened in this battle; by the time Quora Towershed led the battle, the health of the opponent's monsters were greatly reduced. Hence, it was very easy to eliminate them.
Quora Towershed was the only monster left in my lineup due to her healing ability.
Mycelic Slipspawn
The Taunt ability was very useful; without this monster, Mycelic Infantry would have been eliminated in round 1. All opponent monsters focused their attention on Mycelic Slipspawn due to taunt ability.
The moment Mycelic Slipspawn was eliminated in round 2; all Opponent's monsters was able to attack my monster in first position; that was the reason Mycelic Infantry and Flesh Golem was eliminated quickly.
Beatrix Ironhand
This monster was eliminated in the second round.
That is, three of my monsters were eliminated in second round.
