Argentina is the tenth country worldwide with the most investors in cryptocurrencies according to [Chainalysis] (https://www.chainalysis.com/).

It is a characteristic that has been growing exponentially in recent years, mainly due to high inflation and restrictions on the free acquisition and possession of foreign currencies, mainly the dollar, which, on the other hand, has always been the currency preferred by Argentines as a reserve currency. value.

Given the restrictions of the exchange rate, tax pressure, high financial costs, and the loss of purchasing value of our national currency, cryptocurrencies have become a more than an interesting alternative, both to save and to generate interest outside of all those ridiculous impediments that the government insists on maintaining with the supposed intention of not spending the reserves, although without observing the immense public spending that does not stop growing.

In this favorable context, the exchange, Fintech, DeFi, and DAO projects developed and evolved, some very interesting ones have even obtained significant financing abroad to improve and enhance them.

There are already at least three Fintechs in the country that offer international prepaid cards that allow you to fund in the local currency or in some of the main cryptocurrencies and then spend that money anywhere in the world since they are international.

In this incipient market, a war is taking place between the main cards in the world: Visa and Mastercard, two of these companies have chosen the signature of the two intertwined circles, the third Visa.

All of them have a couple of particularities that make them very attractive for holders, they return a percentage of the purchase in bitcoins and they are totally free, they have no issuance or maintenance costs.

Some time ago I wrote about Lemon Cash, one of the three Fintechs that I mention in the note, to test the system I requested it and I have been using it for three months, so far without problems and it returns me immediately after the purchase 2% in bitcoins, he also pays me weekly interest on the funds in cryptocurrencies that I have in the virtual wallet. For a few days it has fulfilled an advertising promise, now in addition to pesos, you can choose a cryptocurrency to make a payment and the application converts the necessary values to the price of the moment, that is to say, that it is not necessary to transfer funds in pesos from other accounts, if we have funds in BTC or ETH, the conversion is done automatically.

Buenbit is another Fintech that offers a prepaid card, in this case, Mastercard, and also returns 2% of each purchase, but in a randomly chosen cryptocurrency at the time of purchase. the refund, unlike Lemon Cash, only pays with funds in Argentine pesos, so it must be loaded with that currency or if you have funds in cryptocurrencies in your wallet, convert to pesos before buying. This Fintech already offers this same service in addition to Argentina, Peru, and Mexico.

The last of the three that I mention in the note is Belo, another Fintech that offers a Mastercard prepaid card and allows payments like Lemon with some cryptocurrencies, although in this case and for now only with stablecoins such as USDT or DAI, the great novelty that this company includes is in the return of the percentage of the expense made by the user, it is variable and random between 1% and 21% and can be reimbursed in any cryptocurrency as well-chosen by chance.

The war may not be so much between the big card issuers but between the Fintechs, meanwhile, users have a varied menu to choose from, an advantage for them.
