A very popular entertainment spot in the Reparto de Miramar, in Havana, is the Paseo Marítimo de 70. This is a coastal area located in a strip of coastline where many hotels have also been built, turning it into a tourist and recreational area that is nowadays very well known.

This promenade is located on 1st Avenue and 70th Street, and has always been a place where people came to bathe on the beach and have a good time by the sea. In the past the place was a bit desolate, it was just a simple stretch of coastline with concrete benches and cement paths to access the beach. I remember it as I used to come here a lot when my child was little. Nowadays it has been completely transformed into a beautiful promenade that has grown over time.

This area also started to gain popularity with the construction of new hotels around it. The most recent is the Grand Mathu Habana, an imposing and elegant hotel very close to the site. Although there are also several hotels in the surrounding area, the Promenade is in a strategic position as it can be visited by tourists, adding to its attractiveness.

The 70 Paseo Marítimo offers a wide variety of restaurants and private bars that provide a variety of gastronomic services. Near the beach strip there are several umbrellas for people to take shelter from the strong sun of our climate or just sit and enjoy the scenery. There is also a small stage for concerts and shows, and the best thing is the breathtaking view of the sea that offers a unique front row experience.

Nowadays this place is well equipped and offers better options than a few years ago. Almost everything you could possibly need is within easy reach, although as is to be expected these days the offerings are a bit pricey for most people's pockets. But in spite of this it is a very pleasant and attractive place for meetings and get-togethers with friends, families or couples.

In Cuba we have an abundance of coastline, so I wish that places like these continue to emerge, along with the desire to spend a memorable and fun time.

Este paseo se encuentra en la Avenida 1ra y la Calle 70, y siempre fue un lugar donde las personas venían a bañarse en la playa y pasar un buen momento junto al mar. En el pasado el lugar estaba algo desolado, era solo un simple tramo de costa con bancos de concreto y caminos de cemento para acceder a la playa. Lo recuerdo pues solía venir mucho aquí cuando mi niño era pequeño. En la actualidad se ha transformado completamente en un hermoso paseo marítimo que ha ido creciendo con el tiempo.

Esta zona también comenzó a ganar popularidad con la construcción de nuevos hoteles a su alrededor. El más reciente es el Grand Mathu Habana, un imponente y elegante hotel muy próximo al lugar. Aunque también en los alrededores hay varios hoteles, el Paseo se encuentra en una posición estratégica ya que puede ser visitado por los turistas, aumentando su atractivo.

El Paseo Marítimo de 70 ofrece una gran variedad de restaurantes y bares privados que brindan diversos servicios gastronómicos. Cerca de la franja de la playa hay varias sombrillas para que las personas puedan resguardarse del fuerte sol de nuestro clima o simplemente sentarse a disfrutar del paisaje. También hay un pequeño escenario para conciertos y espectáculos, y lo mejor es la impresionante vista del mar que ofrece una experiencia única en primera fila.

Actualmente este lugar está bien equipado y ofrece mejores opciones que hace unos años atrás. Casi todo lo que se pueda necesitar está al alcance de la mano, aunque como es de esperarse en estos tiempos las ofertas resultan un poco caras para el bolsillo de la mayoría de las personas. Pero a pesar de esto es un sitio muy agradable y atractivo para un encuentros y reuniones entre amigos, familias o parejas.

En Cuba tenemos una abundancia de costa, así que deseo que lugares como estos sigan surgiendo, sumado a las ganas de pasar un momento memorable y un rato de diversión.
