Hello, @ladiesofhive ladies! This is my second post in the community, and I’ve really enjoyed the posts I’ve read so far. That’s why I’m happily joining this week’s contest organized by @kerrislravenhill.

If ever the Ladies of Hive community organize a lavish Masquerade meetup, what historical figure, accomplished author/artist, or fictional character will you dress as to attend this imaginary event, and why?
This time, I won’t be referencing historical figures or scientists; since it’s a get-together, it should be something fun. At the same time, I want it to feel real, relevant, and meaningful, which is why dressing up as Shakira would be perfect. But why Shakira?
Some time ago, her husband cheated on her in their own home and left her to shoulder a multi-million dollar debt on her own; Shakira seized the moment and made the best of the situation. First, she protected her children at all costs, shielding them from outside harm and looking after them fiercely, like a mother wolf. She also released an album—, Las mujeres ya no lloran (Women Don't Cry Anymore), which I encourage you all to listen to, as a way of expressing that all tears and pain are temporary. The song "Cómo, dónde y cuándo" is the best track on the album.
As a woman, I feel she represents me by making the best of a bad situation and prioritizing her children above all else; that is precisely the message I would like to convey to the girls in our community.

Set aside the body wash, turn off the shower, swap that brush for a microphone and imagine yourself a famous singer. What style would you sing? Pick one, two, or even three other Hive members as members of your imaginary music group and the state the reason why.
This time, my answers are intertwined; I’d feel like Shakira singing "Dai Dai" for the World Cup. My style would be carefree and catchy, a call for unity and fun—dancing barefoot and non-stop.
For my band, I’d choose people with natural charisma who love to dance; I’d be proud to sing alongside @noraydaap and @lianny, because I’ve seen them move to good music, those girls are a total show.
