Mi amor por los animales, específicamente a los gatos, es gracias a mi mamá debido a que ella siempre ha sido amante de los felinos de toda la vida; esto fue parte fundamental en mi crianza y gracias a eso, los felinos son mis animales favoritos en todo el mundo.
Algo que todo amante por los animales nos une es la necesidad y querer salvar a todos esos animalitos indefensos que están en la calle, darles una nueva oportunidad y brindarles un hogar para que nunca más les vuelva a faltar nada pero, lamentablemente, no todos tenemos los recursos necesarios para rescatar a todos los animalitos que desafortunadamente viven en las calles.
My love for animals, specifically cats, is thanks to my mum because she has always been a lifelong feline lover; this was a fundamental part of my upbringing and thanks to that, felines are my favourite animals in the whole world.
Something that all animal lovers have in common is the need and desire to save all those helpless animals that are on the streets, give them a new chance and give them a home so that they never lack anything again but, unfortunately, not all of us have the necessary resources to rescue all the animals that unfortunately live on the streets.
Hace unas semanas, mi mamá se encontró dos gatitos muy pequeños en su trabajo, ella trabaja en una escuela con niños bastante pequeños, la mayoría de estos niños no sabe o no entiende que estos animalitos también son seres vivos a los cuales debemos cuidar, proteger y amar; ella se encontró a varios estudiantes pateando, golpeando y maltratando a estos dos gatitos así que inmediatamente mi mamá los regañó y se hizo cargo durante su turno de los dos bebés.
El problema era que si los dejaba en la escuela, podían no amanecer ahí o siquiera con vida debido a lo pequeños que son así que, contra todo pronostico, mi mamá se llevó a los dos bebés a su casa para darles un hogar temporal.
A few weeks ago, my mum found two very small kittens at work, she works in a school with very young children, most of these children don't know or understand that these little animals are also living beings that we should care for, protect and love; she found several students kicking, hitting and mistreating these two kittens so immediately my mum scolded them and took care of the two babies during her shift.
The problem was that if she left them at school, they might not wake up there or even alive because of how small they are so, against all odds, my mum took the two babies home to give them a temporary home.
Mi mamá no sabe cuidar gatitos tan bebés así que tuvo que acudir a mí para saber qué darles de comer y cómo cuidarlos mientras, fui a visitarla para llevarle unas cuantas latas de atún y ayudarla a revisar a los bebés debido a que tenían muchísimas pulgas; apenas entré me enamoré perdidamente de los bebés, sobre todo de el negrito debido a que me recordaba muchísimo a como era el Ñeñito de pequeño.
Pasé toda la tarde con ellos y ahí me di cuenta que ya tanto mi mamá como mi hermana menor se habían encariñado con los gatitos, ya mi mamá tiene un gato adulto llamado Pau así que otro gato más es un gasto bastante elevado y por eso no estábamos seguros si conservarlos o no.
My mum doesn't know how to take care of such baby kittens so she had to come to me to know what to feed them and how to take care of them, I went to visit her to bring her a few cans of tuna and help her check the babies because they had a lot of fleas; as soon as I walked in I fell madly in love with the babies, especially the little black one because he reminded me so much of how Ñeñito was when he was a little boy.
I spent the whole afternoon with them and then I realised that both my mum and my younger sister had already grown fond of the kittens, my mum already has an adult cat called Pau so another cat is quite an expense and so we weren't sure whether to keep them or not.
Tuve una charla seria con mi mamá porque yo entiendo lo difícil que es dejar ir a un gatito con el que ya te encariñaste pero también entiendo lo complicado que es mantener y darle una buena calidad de vida a una mascota por eso hay que tener pies en la tierra.
Llegamos a el acuerdo de dar en adopción al gatito negro debido a que es macho y Pau lo atacaba cada vez que se acercaba mucho, en cambio con la hembra era un poco más receptivo aunque tomando su distancia; por suerte, ya conseguimos casita para el macho y son personas que conocemos así que está en buenas manos.
I had a serious talk with my mum because I understand how difficult it is to let go of a kitten that you have become attached to but I also understand how complicated it is to keep and give a good quality of life to a pet so you have to keep your feet on the ground.
We came to the agreement to give the black kitten up for adoption because he is a male and Pau attacked him every time he got too close, on the other hand with the female he was a bit more receptive although he kept his distance; luckily, we have already found a home for the male and they are people we know so he is in good hands.
La gatita es súper cariñosa aunque todavía tiene ciertos temas de salud que hay que ir solventando, en eso estoy ayudando como puedo a mi mamá debido a que el veterinario y los medicamentos son un poco costosos para ella sola.
Estoy súper emocionada de tener a un bebé nuevo en la familia, sé que le hará mucho bien a mi mamá debido a lo triste que se puso después de la muerte de la Negra, una gatita que tuvo que dormir por problemas de salud. The kitten is super affectionate although she still has some health issues that need to be solved, I'm helping my mum as much as I can because the vet and the medicines are a bit expensive for her alone.
I'm super excited to have a new baby in the family, I know it will do my mum a lot of good because of how sad she was after the death of Negra, a kitten she had to put to sleep due to health problems. I hope you liked this @liketu introducing you to a new member of my family, see you soon💙
