wonder how many times we have looked at our lives and quietly asked ourselves, Is this really where I thought I would be by now? I know I have asked myself this question several times.

Growing up, I had certain ideas about the kind of life I wanted for myself. Like many young women, I imagined what my future would look like. I had dreams, expectations and a picture in my mind of the kind of woman I wanted to become and the lifestyle I hoped to enjoy.

I imagined getting married, having children, building a beautiful home, becoming financially comfortable, enjoying the finer things in life, travelling, and being able to afford the things I worked so hard for without having to think too much about the cost.

Today, I am grateful that some of the things I once prayed and hoped for have become my reality. I am married, I have children, and I don't take these blessings for granted. But if I am being completely honest, there are still parts of the life I imagined that I haven't quite arrived at and one of those things is the financial lifestyle I thought I would be enjoying by now.

I have worked hard, I have made efforts, pursued opportunities and tried to build a life that offers comfort and financial security. Yet, sometimes, I look at where I am and realise that the level of wealth and financial freedom I once imagined is still a work in progress. I think this is something many women can relate to.

There are days when I look at my life and wonder how I got here. It's not because my life is terrible, but because it is so different from what I once pictured. I even find myself comparing my journey with that of my friends or people I grew up with. Someone is celebrating an anniversary, another person just bought a house, someone else just bought a car, while I'm still trying to figure out certain things in your own life.

Even when I'm genuinely happy for them, a little question will just cross my mind, What about me? When will it be my turn?
I believe these feelings are normal. Being happy for other people doesn't mean I won't sometimes wish certain things were happening in my own life too.

I am beginning to understand that happiness doesn't always come from having everything you once dreamed about. Sometimes, it comes from appreciating the little things we used to overlook.

Waking up in the morning with peace of mind, having people who genuinely care about me, being able to provide for myself, laughing over something silly, or simply going to bed without carrying too many worries.

What I think we need to stop doing is treating our lives as though they are competitions. There is no universal age for getting married, becoming a mother, becoming financially stable, or achieving your dreams. We all have different stories, and sometimes, the journey takes us through places we never expected.

So, a woman can be happy even when her life doesn't look the way she once imagined. We may still have moments when we wishes things had turned out differently, and that is perfectly fine. But we can also learn to appreciate the woman we have become and the life we are building.

After all, a good life doesn't always have to look like the one we planned years ago. Sometimes, it is simply about finding reasons to smile in the life we have today, while still making room for the life we hope to have tomorrow.

Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
