All Saints' Day is a time when all saints are celebrated. Knowing this celebration is in my birth month makes it very special. There is this joy that comes as I dress up early in the morning to attend mass.

It's one way we celebrate the holy men and women who fought and died for what they believed. On every 1st November, I feel motivated by the legacies these saints have left behind, and their lives have inspired me to live a life of faith and generosity.

Growing up in a Catholic home, this celebration is one we don't miss. The mass was nothing far from what I expected; the priest's liturgy and order of mass reminded me of my childhood attending mass with my grandmother. The hymn was beautifully sung, the prayers and the candles lit.

Images of saints could be seen on the wall of the church building; every scene reminded me of how these people have lived and died. As we called on the names of saints to pray for us, I was so committed in the prayer with my candle firm in my hand.

What makes All Saints' Day celebration special for me is the fact it is coincided with my birth month; that makes me special, and the celebration every year reminds one of oneness, generosity, love, and purity.
