Are you a cheerful giver who's always ready to give out their last penny even when they have a serious need for it or do you always put people first before yourself?
If you're like me who struggles to say no to people even at the detriment of my happiness, then I'm glad you're here because we can all learn together
.

I struggled with saying no to people (I still do most times) because I felt like it took a lot of courage for them to walk up to me and ask for a favor. ( I feel that way because it takes a lot of courage for me to walk up to someone and ask for a favor. I always feel bad if I get turned down ) I think this was one of the reasons I struggled with saying No to other people.

Giving to others brings a lot of fulfillment and joy, but neglecting yourself and your needs can lead to mental exhaustion.
I thought to myself, why would I give someone my last penny all the time when I'm in dire need of it only to end up regretting my actions? If I don't give them will they not move on? If I give them, how will I solve mine? These were questions I asked myself, and honestly, there was no one to rescue me when I was in need
.

Creating a balance in life helps you to live a happier life. Saying yes to everything is draining. It's okay to say No sometimes and not feel bad for your actions, and also, Self-care is very important, so always create time for yourself.

Here are some tips on how to create a balance between prioritizing your own needs and giving to others;

The first thing is to Set Boundaries;
Learn to say no without feeling guilty.
I always tell people to learn to say no without guilt because even God doesn't answer all of our prayer requests, and I'm sure he doesn't feel bad lol, so why feel bad for saying No?

Self-care
Caring for others is good, but forgetting that you, too, need all the care and attention is a big NO! Self-care is as important as giving. Sometimes put yourself first before any other person.

Communicate
Always make sure to express your own needs and goals you want to achieve. Communicate openly about your limits and what you can and cannot do. And lastly, be present in your giving; just like I said before, what's the point of giving if it's not from your heart?
Don't give because you feel pressured by anyone
.

Giving to others is stellar, and so is taking care of yourself❤️
And remember that God loves a cheerful giver and not a grumpy one. Prioritize your needs and be happy first being doing for others
