Happy New month to all the beautiful souls in this community. The new month has come with so much joy and peace for me. We also had a downpour during the night, and you know just how refreshing such showers can make the weather become. For the first time in a long while, I slept like a baby and woke up without the regular stress I feel every morning.
It is becoming almost difficult to manage stress seeing that we have to keep working round the clock in order to achieve something meaningful towards our dreams and goals in life. With a difficult economy, we all engage in 2-3 jobs in order to be able to meet our needs. Like myself, managing the farm work, sewing , house chores, and all other side jobs online hasn't been easy. Always sleeping late to wake up early. Nobody finds it easy around here, but we have to keep pushing and renewing our hopes that things will get better always.
You can imagine the joy I feel that for the first time in a long while my body feels free, without pain, stress, or morning headaches.
So today I decided to sew a bustier dress, but to what purpose, if you ask me?
The fashion industry is a very wide one with daily additions of new knowledge, which we have to keep up with and stay updated on in order to stay relevant in the industry.

Once you become perfect in these sewing, any female design will not come with a hassle. These are the 3 primary molds used in designing female wear, especially when they are outside the ready-to-wear circle. We must continue to learn and perfect our skills in these.
Having thought that I knew it all, I found this new fashion designer on the internet who described how to sew a bustier blouse with illustrations that will give one a perfect outfit. I have always had issues with sewing a bustier because of the stress of going to the bust area to form the cup of our bust. After I watched the video, I realized some of the mistakes that often deformed my bustier blouse.
The mannequin hip is quite larger than mine, so I have fo open up every outfit at the hip area for her to wear my clothes well.
I promised myself to try her new method and went ahead to purchase a meter of fabric. I searched diligently for a color I may not have had in my wardrobe, and wine or blue were the two choices to pick from.

Hairstay and paper stay.
Cutting process
I started cutting the fabric from the lower bodice first. Took out the measurements and created the dart lines.
Then I moved to the upper bodice and tried out the new bustier pattern. Cutting the dart lines from the shoulder.
Next I added paper stays to the cloth to stiffen it and prevent excessive stretching. Stretchy fabrics will often deform your cloth finesse as it adds excess to the measurements. Adding stays prevent such.
Sewing
For sewing this, I also started with the lower block, picking out the dart and ensuring that it is aligning with the darts from the upper bodice often showcase professional
Then I continued with fixing the zippers before stitching the front and joining it to the lower bodice.
Since I could only afford a meter of fabric, it got exhausted already, and I'm left with the challenge of how to complete the outfit.
The embellishment is yet to be done too, something I love to do on clothes that often makes them as pretty as the ones in boutiques. People often give reference to boutique wear to be more beautiful, but everything boils down to creativity, and if we are able to embellish clothes the right way, they will come out as that beautiful.
