There have been Many things trending in my country lately, I will be talking about just few of them, I will say every week there is something trending to talk about in my country. Of recent everybody in my country is talking about the dangote refinery IPO. Everyone is making jokes out of it , I heard about it briefly but I do not pay attention to it and this is because I'm yet to read about it. But as times goes on, I started seeing people that talks about this shares even the comedians started making a lot of videos, anywhere they see a dangote truck they will be shouting it's their investment and nothing must happen to the truck, and so on like that.
At the point, I'm forced to have interest in it and also read about it. This IPO allows anyone who has interest to become a shareholders in the refinery. Especially the investors and people that has a lot of money who can use for the investment, although people that doesn't put a lot of money can also participate, it just that the higher the money you put, the higher it becomes when it grows.
A share cost #525 per share, this simply means if you buy 100 shares that will be #52,500 and if you buy higher or less, it will just be 525 multiply by the shares you bought, the best to get your money back after the shares is for the shares to go up , just imagine a share you bought at #525 per share now increase to #1000 per shares and you bought 100 shares, that will give us 100,000. So if you remove 1000 from 525 you will be making 475 per shares when it grows. Now imagine someone that bought a million shares. That will eventually make them a lot of money.
On the other hand, there is also a loss in it because everything that have advantages have disadvantages. Just as the way we calculated the profit, there can also be a loss in it. This is because if you buy the shares for about #525 and it reduced to #300 that will not give you any profit but loss. Now imagine buying lots of shares with a lot of money.
I have interest in it and alot of people has put there money inside, but I didn't put mine inside but of some reasons, I've seen trends like this which only ended in tears and I've invested in things like this before but I got to no where before it crashed. The trends as taught me a lot in the past and I'm not falling in love with it again.
In summary, this trends only good for people that has a lot of money, millions and so on. But people that have just small money, there shares will not reach anywhere before it crashed as there are so many of them before now but end up crashing. I'm just looking to see what will be the end of the trends.
