Critical Thinking in the Age of Misinformation This topic caught my attention because I find it not only very interesting but also important, especially given the way information currently circulates around us, which many people rely on without really considering or studying it. That's why today I want to share my point of view and my personal reflection on this topic, especially from my profession as a teacher. So, once again, welcome to my blog.
Having the ability to evaluate and analyze the information presented to us in any of its forms is essential, and I consider this to be the first obstacle to developing critical thinking, especially among today's youth. Because they are so immersed in following current trends, they have lost interest in research and often fail to present their own position on the issues. They simply use the various digital tools they have access to, and thus tend to consume only the limited information summarized in these tools, limiting their ability to synthesize and analyze each aspect related to the topic.
So my goal is always to feed their curiosity about a topic, offering them different perspectives on it. This way, I spark their desire to research and form their own opinions and positions on the topic, based on truly verified and substantiated information. That's why, whenever they research something specific, I always ask them: Why? How? When? And, most importantly, "Do you agree with it?" This way, I make them realize the lack of and the large amount of misinformation spread on many sites, but above all, I feed their curiosity to learn and evaluate the reality of the situation.
Pensamiento cr铆tico en la era de la desinformaci贸n. Este tema llamo mucho mi atenci贸n pues no solo me parece muy interesante sino tambi茅n importante sobre todo en la manera en que la informaci贸n actualmente ronda a nuestro alrededor y por la cual muchos llegan a guiarse sin considerarla o estudiarla realmente. Es por esto que hoy quiero hablarles de mi punto de vista as铆 como mi reflexi贸n personal sobre este, sobre todo desde mi profesi贸n como docente. As铆 que una vez m谩s Bienvenidos todos a mi Blog.
Tener la capacidad para evaluar y analizar la informaci贸n que se nos presente en cualquiera de sus modelos es lo principal, y ese consider贸 que es el primer obst谩culo para poder desarrollar el pensamiento cr铆tico sobre todo en la juventud actual, los cuales por estar tan inmersos en seguir las modas del momento han perdido el interes de investigar por lo que no presentan muchas veces una posici贸n propia sobre los temas, ya que simplemente hacen uso de las distintas herramientas digitales a las que tienen acceso por lo que solo suelen consumir la poca informaci贸n que se les resume en estas limitando su capacidad para sintetizar y analizar cada aspecto relacionado con el mismo.
Por lo que siempre mi objetivo es alimentar su curiosidad sobre un tema, ofreciendoles diferentes posturas sobre el mismo, de esa manera logro despertar sus ganas de investigar y crear su propia opini贸n y posici贸n de este, bas谩ndose en informaci贸n realmente verificada y sustentada. Por esto siempre cuando realizan una investigaci贸n sobre algo en espec铆fico les pregunto 驴Por qu茅? 驴C贸mo? 驴Cu谩ndo? Y lo m谩s importante 驴Estas de acuerdo con eso?. De esta forma logro que se den cuenta del vacio y la gran cantidad de informaci贸n err贸nea que se manejan en muchos siticios, pero sobre todo alimentando su curiosidad por saber y evaluar la realidad del hecho.
How to discern the truth in a world full of information? || 驴C贸mo discernimos la verdad en un mundo lleno de informaci贸n?

Although this may be a challenge due to the constant use of social media and digital tools, where information that doesn't require any validation for publication constantly circulates, the most important thing is to demonstrate and teach how much of this information is far from reality and how we can discern it by objectively judging reality through argumentation, analysis, and interpretation.
This is why I believe we have a fundamental role to play in both the training and education of today's youth. This not only makes us aware of the importance of verifying information, but also helps us enable them to make decisions based on reality in the future, seek more effective solutions based on assessing the situation from different perspectives, communicate better, and have autonomy when forming their own opinions and making decisions.
Aunque esto pueda resultar un reto por el contante uso de las redes redes sociales y herramientas digitales por donde circula continuamente informaci贸n que no amerita validaci贸n alguna para publicarse, lo primordial es mostar y lograr ense帽ar como mucha de est谩, esta lejos de la realidad y puede discernir de ella juzgando objetivamente lo real a trav茅s de la argumentaci贸n, an谩lisis e interpretaci贸n de la misma.
Por esto consider贸 que tenemos un papel primordial tanto en la Formaci贸n como en la Educaci贸n de los jovenes actuales, ya que con esto no solo logramos que sean conscientes de la importancia de verificar una informaci贸n sino que tambi茅n los ayudamos a que en un futuro logren tomar decisiones basadas en la realidad, buscar soluciones m谩s efectivas basadas en la evaluaci贸n de la situaci贸n desde distintas perspectivas, lograr mejor la comunicaci贸n y tener autonom铆a a la hora de formar sus propias opiniones y tomar sus decisiones.
In conclusion, in the new era of misinformation we are experiencing, it is necessary to foster curiosity and critical thinking in young people and children as an effective resource not only for society but also for the individual well-being of each of them.

En conclusi贸n, en la nueva era de desinformaci贸n por la cual estamos atravesando es necesarios fomentar la curiosidad y pensamiento cr铆tico de los j贸venes y ni帽os, como un recurso efectivo no solo para la sociedad sino para el bienestar individual de cada uno de ellos.
