Why Telegram Play-To-Earn Projects Lack Sustainability: A Thorough Assessment
I do not know how some people will feel about this post, but I still have to write about it because it has been on my mind for quite a long time now. I have witnessed lots of cases where telegram projects have promised their users sustainability but over time, after such projects have been listed on CEXs, no one happens to hear about such projects any longer. This has been the culture of almost all Telegram Web3 projects. Looking back at great projects like #notcoin #dogs and many other popular ones even though they were so popular and promising, they lost their popularity immediately after they were launched. Most times, other new popular ones retire the old ones and the focus of the people then shifted from the old to the new. This is a recurring issue that needs to be checked I know that recent telegram #web3 projects have devised means to ensure that their projects stand the test of time even when listed. So far, I do not think that any of these projects have achieved this feat, despite the fact they had promised users. The methods used so far to ensure that their projects stand the test of time have proven to be inadequate. This is why each telegram project will come up with its module to ensure the sustainability of its project.
The problem mostly is the inability of project owners and developers to come up with ideas that could make users stay clue to the project while constantly earning money from it. Any web3 project that does not make room for consistent and constant engagement cannot stand the test of time. Most times, their tokens are also affected by this factor. Using #hive as an example, the hive blockchain has what it takes for it to stand the test of time because it does not only reward people for engagement but it has an avenue where users contribute to its sustainability. These are what telegram projects lack. It is not enough to just introduce a new project and coin to the market; the system must be built in such a way that it attracts people to engage in it and also contribute to its growth and sustainability.
Some telegram project owners will come up with holding back a certain percentage of their allocation from users, while others will ask users to stake back their earnings to the system for greater reward. These modules for some time now have proven that it does not work. Hence, what telegram project owners and developers should do is follow in the footsteps of #hive and come up with a system by which users can engage consistently while earning from it and only contributing to it by giving back to the system. What this means is that users should have total control over their earnings without any element of regulations and controls. This is one of the ways these projects can garner sustainability and prospects.
