Good day to all my dear friends! I hope you're all doing well. Today, for lunch, I prepared a delicious and nutritious onion leaf mallum (stir-fry) to enjoy with rice, and I'm excited to share the recipe with you. Most of the time, onion leaves are cooked with oil and often used to garnish various dishes. However, the dish I'm making today uses no cooking oil at all and is packed with nutrients. Onion leaves are also a local medicinal herb known for their many health benefits. Thanks to their rich nutritional content, they can help prevent a variety of ailments. Now, let’s see how we can prepare this healthy dish!

Materials Used.
Onion leaves 200g.
3 garlic cloves, peeled.
1 Onion.
2 green chili pods.
Some curry leaves.
A little water.
Salt powder as need.
1/4 Teaspoon of turmeric Powder.
1/3Teaspoon of pepper powder.
2/3 cup of Grated coconut.
2 pcs pandan leaves.

The cooking process as follows.
Now, let's get ready to prepare this delicious onion leaf mallum. First, take the cleaned onion leaves and finely chop them.

Next, finely chop the fresh chilies and onions.

Next, take a mortar and pestle and add garlic, curry leaves, chopped chilies, chopped onions, turmeric powder, pepper powder, a pinch of salt, and grated coconut. Then, grind everything together thoroughly.

Now, take a cooking pan and place it on the stove to heat. Once the pan is hot, add the prepared coconut mixture. Next, add two pieces of pandan leaves and two tablespoons of water. Mix everything well and cook until the coconut absorbs the water.

Now, add the chopped onion leaves to the mixture and mix it thoroughly. After two minutes, remove it from the stove.

So, to keep the Onion leaves mallum a vibrant green color, cook it on low heat. This way, it not only looks beautiful but also retains its full nutritional value. Additionally, this dish can be easily paired with rice for a wholesome meal. It's a very simple yet highly nutritious preparation, making it a perfect addition to any meal. I hope you try this recipe too! With that, I'll say goodbye for today. Have a wonderful day!
