Hello everyone,
It's so good to be here

The world is a battlefield, it takes either mindfulness or meditation to ease some of the stress so as to remain focused amidst everything that happens around us. Though, engaging ourselves in some of these things becomes difficult because oftentimes we get carried away by the issues of life which we can't avoid in most cases.

In all, engaging in either of them helps in many factors, because having the understanding that mindfulness requires us to be aware of what’s around us and how our bodies feel or react to situations, while meditation reels our thoughts to calm the mind, so I would say that they work hand in hand because they aim to help our well-being, because while one encourages awareness, the other works to create singular thoughts.

Amidst all, I try not to allow my mind to be full of challenges or difficulties (thinking) I know I can avoid, or most times can't be avoided, rather I'm being mindful of the situation around me and the way forward, how I can create a change which would foster my growth, because daily I aimed at growing and becoming better than what I've always being.

Thus, mindfulness is a practice that i carry with me wherever i go, whereas meditation is more of an exercise, that requires a quiet environment, but seeing my self in a noisy environment filled with ups and down, i believe that being mindful is the way out at that moment, though i practice meditation as well but it only becomes more effective when I'm in a quiet environment and that helps to ease my stress.

I would say that mindfulness is all about bringing to our subconscious mind the event of the present moment, it's all about living fully in the present moment. Thus practicing mindfulness aimed at increasing my self-awareness, self-acceptance, and improves our attention to problem-solving ability or skills, and minimizing the symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Having the understanding that the previous day is gone and they don't matter, becomes possible when we focus on the present and making the most of the present moment to impact both ourselves as well as others.

Practicing meditation also helps me in so many ways, it helps with my self-awareness which clearly reflects and focuses on my thoughts, organizing the mind to prevent mental clutter so i can focus on my inner selves. Most times, my mind wanders from time to time, but meditation helps reel it back investigating how i feel and why i feel that way. It also helps me understand what kind of self-talk I tend to practice, and how that could either negatively or positively impact my lives. Although both work to help my well-being and live more in the present, but I tend to practice mindfulness more often.

As well as meditation is important, mindfulness is as well necessary because it teaches us to be more compassionate with ourselves, become better at listening to ourselves, and in turn, bring both of these things to our relationships by strengthening our emotional regulation, skills and giving us a better insight into ourselves which is the core factor for our growth.

Mindfulness and meditation work hand in hand, because they both aim at our well-being, thus each of them has so impacted me positively supporting my personal growth by increasing self-awareness, self-acceptance, self-knowledge and developing my growth mindset.
