Continuation on my yesterday post about the testnet node set up, fortunately I got to the end, but unfortunately my laptop is not compatible to run the node, so basically I wasted the whole day doing something. But the silver lining here is that I learnt how to code for a second and beat my fear my of setting up a node because I see lots of coding involved. I felt rejected, especially after reflecting on the amount of effort I put into trying to make it. Not rejected by the team but rejected due to the circumstance of my laptop. I couldn’t do anything, wished I had enough funds to go upgrade my laptop for the sole purposes of running this node.

Thinking out loud, I redirected my thoughts to rejection and redirection. Most times when we get rejections, we sometimes focus on that rejection and start trying to feel like that opportunity was the only best opportunity in the world, without that our lives might not continue. But learning to make lemonades from every lemon thrown at you can take you a long way. If you are able to make lemonade from all the lemons thrown at you, you will have enough money to not notice that being thrown and hit with lemons hurt. Hive remains one of my biggest achievements in life, because it came when I needed it the most. I was at a point where I was depressed and broke and hive came to save me, as a matter of fact, it’s till saving me.

Two years ago, I got a phone call from a friend who said he just found a website that pays me to talk about crypto. I told him to send me the link, he sent it, the name of the site is publish ox. I was super excited but to be an author you have to apply. Being a reader and an author lets you earn, but you earn more when you are an author. I applied to be an author, but unfortunately I was rejected. I felt bad and decided to be a reader and see if I can learn one or two from reading on punish ox. While reading, I encountered a post on Leofinance and I checked it out, created my Hive account, wrote my first post and made $0.1. I got excited and my Hive journey began from there. I was rejected from Publish OX and redirected to Hive. I am grateful for that.
