Web 3.0 is the new face of the internet and gradually this has also started getting so much attention. Web 2.0 seems to be a thing of the past and a transition has started from web 2 to web 3 however the speed is slow. It's because it has just started and is in the initial phase but the future is bright. The earlier face of the web is advanced but it's centralized which means the authority remains in the hands of the tech companies and they operate the way they like. This is also called censorship where content or account is blocked without prior notice and even no reason is provided. This also creates uncertainty that the user never knows when the company can take an action and all the efforts are wasted. We can not even say that we own the content there.

Things have gone to the next level with web 3 because it does not work the way web 2.0 does. It's decentralized. It's built on the concept of making the entire ecosystem decentralized and there is no controlling authority. The entire control is given to the owner of the account and since there is no censorship so whatever content is published will always remain and can be accessed anytime. Like we have seen so many instances where accounts are blocked on web 2.0 platforms but here it will never happen.

What is web 3.0 ?

So blockchain and decentralization are the important components in the foundation of web 3 and cryptocurrencies are also playing an important role with this new face of the Internet. The reason why the transition has been happening now is that people are not happy with the kind of treatment they are given by the big tech companies. An alternative option is needed for the current web and web three is the next alternative or we can call it a solution to the problem that we have with the current version of the Internet.

Web3 (also known as Web 3.0) is an idea for a new iteration of the World Wide Web which incorporates concepts such as decentralization, blockchain technologies, and token-based economics. Some technologists and journalists have contrasted it with Web 2.0, wherein they say data and content are centralized in a small group of companies sometimes referred to as "Big Tech"

the entire power is given to the users who owned the account and hive is the biggest example of web 3 that we are already part of. We know that there is no company operating the platform and even there is no CEO who is the face of the network. It's like the entire platform is made by the community for the community and every stakeholder is the owner of the network. We own the account as any content that we post here will always be ours without any censorship or manipulation in place.

We have a bunch of Decentralized Applications (DApps) that can be accessed with just one login credential which makes the accessibility very easy. I must say that this is a powerful function that we need not remember so many passwords or even copy-paste on the different applications because the single login credentials are enough to give us access throughout the applications across the network. For example, I use a hive key chain to login into the application on the network and some applications do not support a hive key chain but even, in this case, the same password is used so in both ways the credentials remain the same.

Thank you so much
