Hello and Namaste Everyone

Social media is evolving and companies like Meta or Google are trying different ways to make it more fun and interactive. facebook is a very big platform on social media but in the last few years, it has been losing its user base. Meta is the company that owns Facebook WhatsApp and Instagram and this company is trying to adopt innovation on different dimensions to keep users engaged. A few months back Meta launched a microblogging platform called Threads which was able to get a lot of attention worldwide but now it is kind of silent. I have not joined it so I do not know how it works but I have seen so many people talking about it in alternate social media platforms.

People were talking about meta threats on Twitter and Elon Musk was not happy with these because as per him this was a competition created by Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg. Twitter is still a popular microblogging platform with a very big user base across the world however this has been rebranded to X. Tesla founder seems to be in love with the character X and this is the reason why probably he is trying to involve every branding with this character and probably he has done with Twitter because of this reason.

WhatsApp Channels Launched

Whatsapp is another popular social media messaging platform and it is adopted worldwide. undoubtedly this is a very nice application that we can access across devices including mobile phones or PCs and laptops. this application has a very big user base even though it runs on mobile phones mostly and an account is created with the mobile number. Now this has taken a lead here and launched its channels which is a different way to get updated from the people you follow. indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also joined the channel and it looks like this is going to be a cool way to stay updated as per the following. I have not tried it but I see some channels showing on my Whatsapp page in the status section so I will check out more before I follow.

This channel function on WhatsApp is free for the users but I don't know if it is free for the content creators as well. I can see a lot of celebrities joining this platform and even some news platforms are already there but another great news is that PM Modi is there as well. if such big leaders join this platform then we can expect more adoption from people and maybe WhatsApp as a company will be trying to generate some revenue this way. This company surely needs to generate various sources of income for them which I think they are doing from businesses mostly and this way they can also get it from the leading content creators. Many people use WhatsApp but they are not available on Facebook or any other social media so WhatsApp is trying to target those users this way. it also verified the account as I can see the check mark on the channels which is good from a safety point of view.

If politicians and other celebrities join this platform then I think it is going to be a cool way to get all the updates coming through and certainly, it is going to be much more fun because all we can do within the same application. Most of us use the WhatsApp application multiple times in a day and now we have another feature added to the application which I hope will make it even better overall.

Thank you so much
Stay Safe
