The distribution of Hive Power has become slightly more equal in the last month.
@arcange also produces the with 'delegation' distribution, but delegation is just 'patronage', not ownership, so I prefer to look at the 'owned' weightings, I think they're a more valid measurement of power distribution, which is what I'm interested in.
This analysis doesn't take account of the millions of liquid HIVE currently not staked in the DAO.
Trends in distribution by MVEST levels
31st October 2020 (without delegation)

30th November 2020 (without delegation)

|Level|% total MVESTS 31st Oct|% of total MVESTS 30th Nov| |-|-|-| |Whales|38.97|38.78| |Orcas|27.03|27.34| |Dolphins|18.86|18.75| |Minnows|9.87|9.87| |Redfish|5.27|5.26|
That's the largest percentage increase in Orca stake I've seen in months - 0.3% up on last month,
There's a very slight .0.2% decline in Whale stake and small decrease in Dolphin stake.
Trends in distribution by number of accounts
31st October 2020

30th November 2020

|Level|No. of accounts 31st Oct| No. of accounts 30th Nov| |-|-|-| |Whales|33|32| |Orcas|291|296| |Dolphins|1833|1839| |Minnows|8871|8881| |Redfish|1407748|1410885|
One less whale, five more Orcas, 6 more Dolphins and 10 more minnows - an increasing middle class!
Commentary/ Analysis
Last months stats show a slight shift to increasing equality of distribution of Hive power across a broader number of accounts - with one less Whale and a smaller amount of Hive Power staked to Whales - balanced by a corresponding increase of Hive Power across an additional 6 Orca accounts.
It's hardly a rapid emergence of a 'Hive middle class' but a tentative trend towards one .
But who knows what will happen in the coming year. I literally have no idea which way things are going to go!
Notes...
I set @arcange as a beneficiary!
