There’s a new arrival in Frontier this November. Its name is Starlight, the latest Foundation collection, officially released on November 3, 2026. While we’ve previously been busy discussing Collector Achievements and Artisan Quarter, my attention is now shifting to something just as exciting: 36 new cards, three types of packs, and a reward system that gives Frontier battles an additional purpose.
Honestly, when I first read the Starlight announcement, the part that caught my attention wasn’t simply the number of cards. It was the way players can earn the packs. This time, we can’t just walk into the shop with Credits and buy packs whenever we want. There’s a bit of fighting to do on the battlefield first.
A Caravan That Has Finally Found a Home
Starlight brings the story of the Starlight Caravan, a group of Praetorian wanderers who have spent generations moving from place to place. Known as the Moving Marches, they are a collection of traders, craftsmen, survivors, and performers who have never pledged allegiance to any kingdom.
They survive through bartering, specialized skills, and one simple principle: self-reliance.
But after a long journey across various territories, they have finally found a place worth protecting: Frontier. Their war wagons have been transformed into a fortified settlement, trading traditions have begun to take root, and this wandering group has decided to settle down.
I find this story quite interesting. A caravan that has always avoided putting down roots now has something it wants to protect. In a way, it reminds me a little of Splinterlands players. We might start out just playing the game, but over time, we discover a community, guilds, collections, and reasons to stick around.

The Starlight collection consists of 30 Units and 6 Rare Archons, bringing the total to 36 unique cards.
The rarity distribution is quite diverse:
- 8 Common
- 14 Rare
- 7 Epic
- 7 Legendary
This collection follows the Foundation foil system, featuring five versions: Regular Foil (RF), Gold Foil (GF), Black Foil (BF), Gold Foil Arcane (GFA), and Black Foil Arcane (BFA).
There is one important detail collectors should keep in mind: all Starlight cards have no Collection Power (CP) or Production Power (PP). So, the motivation for collecting them is more about gameplay, collection goals, and the hunt for different foil versions rather than gaining additional CP or PP.
Packs Can't Be Purchased Just Anytime
Starlight introduces three types of packs: Sky, Stellar, and Cosmic. However, to purchase them, players must first earn the corresponding DROP Tokens through Frontier Ranked jackpots or Weekend Tournaments.
In other words, Credits alone won't be enough. We need to play, reach victory milestones, or participate in tournaments to get a chance to open these packs.
In my opinion, this is what makes Starlight feel different. Playing and collecting cards are now connected. Players who regularly battle in Frontier have an opportunity to pursue the new collection, while collectors have another reason to return to the battlefield.
For me, Starlight is more than just an addition of 36 cards. It brings a story, limited pack availability, and a reward mechanism that makes the collecting journey feel more alive.
My suggestion is to learn about the three pack types and how to earn DROP Tokens before joining the hunt. You don't want to earn those tokens only to forget to redeem them within the 15-day time limit.
Frontier now has a new reason to visit. The caravan has found its home, and now it's our turn to decide which cards we want to bring home.
In Splinterlands, sometimes the most exciting part of the journey isn't buying a card, but fighting for the chance to own one.
