Without a doubt, "I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You" was one of the best and bravest albums of the 1960s. There were some really great songs on the album, but I think the song "Respect" was undoubtedly the best. I think "Respect" is Aretha Franklin's best song and one of the best songs of all time. Additionally, it was Aretha Franklin's signature song.
If I remember correctly, Aretha Franklin became known as the Queen of Soul after this album, and she truly deserved it. She took the world by storm with this album. It not only exudes a deep soul, it gushes out from every line, every word, every chord and every note. This album marked a new beginning for Aretha Franklin and R&B.
