True Blue is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna. The album was released by Sire Records and Warner Bros. on June 30, 1986, and was produced by Madonna, Stephen Bray, Patrick Leonard. Additionally, Madonna co-wrote the entire album with Stephen Bray and Patrick Leonard. The album was recorded from December 1985 to April 1986.
The album True Blue deals with Madonna's visions of love, work, dreams and disappointments, and is inspired by Madonna's then-husband Sean Penn, to whom she dedicates the album. The album features instrumentation from acoustic guitars, drums, synthesizers and Cuban musical instruments. The songs' topics range from love to freedom, also include social issues such as teenage pregnancy. The album received critical acclaim upon its release, with music critics praising the album as the archetype of the late 1980s and early 1990s pop albums. Additionally, critics praised Madonna's voice sounding stronger than her previous efforts, and praised Madonna's skills as a singer, songwriter, and entertainer.
True Blue was a huge success worldwide, reaching number one in 28 countries worldwide, including Australia, Canada, Germany, France, the United Kingdom and the United States. It remained at the top of the European Top 100 Albums chart for 34 consecutive weeks, longer than any other album in history. True Blue has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide and remains one of the best-selling albums of all time. It also became the world's best-selling album of 1986, as well as the best-selling album by a female artist of the 1980s. "Papa Don't Preach", "True Blue", "Live to Tell", "Open Your Heart", and "La Isla Bonita" reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 or UK Singles Chart. Additionally, "Papa Don't Preach" was the song that was at the top of both.
True Blue is considered the album that established Madonna's position as the biggest female artist of the 1980s, rivaling male musicians such as Michael Jackson and Prince. Madonna became the first female artist to receive the Video Vanguard Award at the 1986 MTV Video Music Awards for her impact on popular culture. In my opinion, Madonna is undoubtedly the queen of Pop. Frankly, there are great songs on the True Blue album, and it's hard to say I have just one favorite. But I can say that the songs I listened to the most in this album were "Live to Tell", "La Isla Bonita", and "Papa Don't Preach". Frankly, I love many of Madonna's songs.
Madonna - Live To Tell
I think "Live To Tell" is a flawless song. This song was Madonna's first truly great Madonna ballad where she proved to the world that she was truly an artist. Great vocals, great production, great songwriting, really everything is perfect on this song.
Madonna - La Isla Bonita
"La Isla Bonita" was unlike anything Madonna had recorded before, a Latin-tinged uptempo ballad complete with Spanish guitar, Cuban percussion, and lyrics exploring dreams of exotic San Pedro. It was the first Spanish song I listened to. I really liked Madonna's mature, lush vocals in this song.

No matter how many years pass, Madonna's songs never get old, she has gifted us truly wonderful songs and they will be with us forever. Thank you Madonna.
