English version
While walking behind the Cumaná Cathedral, I decided to take a stroll down several side streets toward Plaza Rómulo Gallegos. This time, my desire to continue exploring every corner of this part of the city led me down new streets, although I should clarify that my main goal was to find out where I could refill my filtered water bottles.

I began my walk on Cantaura Street, then headed to Montes Street, and next passed through La Paz Street; from there, I continued on Ayacucho Street—which has a leaning tree right in the middle of the road—and carried on along La Florida Street, Andrés Bello Street, and Niquitao Street.

I took the opportunity to walk around all these blocks and, of course, take a stroll, clear my mind, and forget about my daily routine—even if it meant having to look for water. Sometimes it’s hard to ignore the problems because the unreliable electrical system has become yet another headache.

At least on this outing, I was able to find several places that offer filtered water and also noticed that the lack of service isn’t an excuse for people to neglect their trees and ornamental plants. I saw a very colorful and cheerful trinitaria flower, a sign that someone is taking good care of it. I also saw an almond tree bearing fruit—it had been a while since I’d seen one of those.
Walking through the city streets will always be comforting; I enjoy being in touch with nature and breathing fresh air, which contributes to my personal well-being and helps me stay focused on my new projects.
