“Hello,” Hannah said to the caller who seemed to sound so busy in the background.
“Is this, uhmm,” the caller said in a masculine voice. There was total silence for a few seconds from the caller’s end before he spoke again. “Is this Hannah Greenfield?” the caller concluded.

“Yes, yes!” she answered with enthusiasm, a reflection of how desperate she was to get a call that sounded so professional.
“You submitted an application a few months ago at a pizza shop if you could still remember...” the caller stopped again speaking to someone in the background.
Hannah sat up in bed with a broad smile on her face. “This could be it,” she thought with a delighted smile.
“Yes, I can remember clearly,”
“Oh, good. Could you come by to a trade fair right now? The address will be forwarded to you,”
“Oh, yes. I’ll be there in a few minutes, sir,” Hannah answered joyfully before waiting for the caller to drop the call.
After she was done dressing up, she ran out of the house, almost forgetting to lock her door.
Hannah got down in front of the fair, staring at the bubbling area with a bright smile on her face. She doesn't mind if this is the job she got. She just wanted something to do, something to fetch her money. She pulled at her dress, lightly before walking in.
As she entered the pizza store at the trade fair, she was greeted with a loud noise that almost made the outside a quiet place. As she walked forward gently, someone bumped into her and without an apology, the person sauntered away, hurriedly.
The whole place was busy and more like a brouhaha view. It looked as though everyone was either busy or fighting which made her wonder how she was going to cope at the place.
Hannah looked around from table to table with people munching on a slice of pizza, gisting or laughing.
“Are you just gonna stand over there or get your ass to work right now?!” someone from afar from where she was standing yelled over the loud noise.
“Yeah, yeah. Sure!” she answered before walking towards the counter.
“Just get to the changing room and change into this. You have some deliveries to make!” he said.
He was the only one handling everything here which means he had a lot to do and the least she could do at the moment was to get changes into the “pizza slice” customized T-shirt and get the deliveries done just like he had instructed.
After taking the deliveries, she took the scooter and headed toward the address given to her.
This wasn’t how she wanted her first day at work to be. She wanted a much more settled environment where she’d get the chance to mingle more with the customers so she could prove her customer relationship to her boss, not hurrying off in a pizza delivery scooter but what else was she meant to expect from a trade fair?
After three minutes of riding the scooter, she stopped by the traffic, obviously waiting for the green light to lead her on. She looked to her side where a car was parked, also waiting for the same cause.
She finally ignited the scooter at the sight of the green light and as she drove, even before she could blink and realize what was going on, the expensive car she had seen earlier collided with her causing her to fall from the scooter.
As she regained her balance and was going to confront the driver, the person sitting at the owner's corner rolled the tinted glass down and threw a thousand dollars at her.
Hannah stared at the young man furiously, taking in his arrogant look. She was going to yell at his rude attitude when he rolled the glass back up and drove away.
“Son of a bitch!” she yelled angrily at the car that was already speeding off before looking down at the cartons of pizza which were thankfully not destroyed but the angry drivers wouldn’t stop honking.
She was so mad and was going to leave the cash on the ground right there but she let go of her pride on the ground instead and picked up the money.
Even though she still had the anger right within her somewhere, she successfully made the deliveries and headed back to the fair.
The whole place seems like a totally different place as though she had just entered the wrong one.
“Welcome back,” her boss greeted and a guy who she hadn’t seen earlier scoffed at her.
“Thanks for today, you may leave now. We urgently needed someone to make deliveries for us but now we have the delivery guy back,” he smiled at her before walking away.
“What?” she let out in utmost exasperation.
