It was just an ordinary Tuesday for me. Here I am sharing three songs again for Three Tune Tuesday contest hosted by Ablaze. Today, I want to share some songs from Namewee. The cool thing about Namewee is that he's from Malaysia but I believe he went to Taiwan to pursue his career and he had a tough time in his early days before he became famous. Apparently, he used to be a construction worker and lived in a garage in Taiwan. You couldn't even tell that was his past if you didn't look it up. Anyways, I like how he incorporates other languages and cultures into some of his music. The songs I share today will showcase this aspect of his music.
The first song I'm sharing is the curry & roti song. In this song, I like how he uses an Indian accent as well as dress up along with the people in the video. Honestly, I think it's a love song but using Indian food as the way to describe it. Curry and roti are meant to be eaten together. It's just a fun and silly song; I hope nobody from India is offended by this.
This is another funny song from Namewee. The song is featuring the country of Thailand. The song talks about the experience of a Malaysian going to Thailand and how everything is cheap cheap. In the song, the song talks about falling in love with a pretty girl there and wanting to bring her back to Malaysia.
The last is my favorite and I think it might be due to being crazy about Japanese culture in the past. I'm not as crazy as before but I do love anime. I like this song because you can actually learn some Japanese words from this song; the chorus is also super catchy. I wonder if Japanese people know this song. Do you know this song@go-kyo?
