While my farm foreman and I were working on one of my solar array projects he spotted a peacock while I was installing some grounding wire. He just said "peacock" out of no where. When he said it I just kept working, and he said it again.. Did you hear me? There is a peacock right there. I looked up and sure enough, it was.. just like the ones you may see at a zoo. Just walking around outside in the wild. We just stopped working for a good 10 minutes and we just watched.. never seeing such a bird in the wild.

If you gave me a list of animals you may see in my new home, I would never have guessed I would see a peacock just wandering around.
Every so often it does its call, I think its looking for a mate. No idea if it will find one.. Never seen another peacock before besides this one.
Well fast forward a few days and its still just roaming around my property. We hear it calling out every so often, its loud!.. lol
We can see its iconic ploomage, though it has not opened up its feathers. I guess it does not feel threatened around us. Well actually I know its not, it lets us get within 10 feet of it. And it casually just walks around keeping around a 20-30 foot distance from us. But it just hang around, not really scared of anything.
I wonder how long it will stay for, and I wonder if I will see it again. But a very cool sighting and glad I got some pictures of it.
This would appear to be a male, the females do not have all the colorful plumage. Amazing how long the bird is, with its feathers behind it has to be over 6 feet long.
Wonder where it goes in the winter, I think the can fly. Not sure if they migrate.
I hope it finds a mate.
