Hello peeps and pals on LeoVerse and Hive, it's a good thing to have an identity that leaves everyone who meets you with a memorable impression while also setting you apart from your competitors. This is why branding is critical to every business and project. The recognition of a brand increases company /product value, provides insight, sets the right expectations, and makes acquiring new customers/clients and patrons easier.
Rebranding is upon us at the LeoVerse
The brand of a business defines how the organization is perceived by patrons, employees, and beyond. Holding a brand identify different from the value offered to sway a way potential patrons who may never want to look beyond the name you carry. It is true that "you would be addressed as you dress". It is therefore very crucial to shape the perceptions by prospective patrons by holding up an brand identity that would woo them and not present something different when they come close.
After a robust recreation and reinvention of value into the LeoVerse, it was necessary to rebrand from "LeoFinance" to a more inclusive identity that defines the LeoVerse as an all-in-one web3 solution which combines the functionality of Twitter, Reddit, medium, offers decentralized polling, NFTs, crypto wallet and m any more features that every web user would desire and in a decentralized form. This call for Rebrand becomes a timely initiative as LeoVerse launches out to bring mass adoption to the we3 world.
The biggest advantage of rebranding is the ability to reach new customers and this is exactly what LeoFinance seeks to attain with its ongoing proposal which seeks to onboard 10k new users to Hive blockchain. When you focus on new aspects of your business and promote them correctly, people will take notice. Without a doubt, rebranding can stimulate a business to create new growth in an ever-evolving market.
Things to Consider as we Rebrand LeoVerse
According to the call for rebranding, we were asked to consider the following
- LeoVerse as a blockchain-based alternative for mainstream platforms like Medium, Reddit, and Twitter with Polls included,
- LeoVerse as an alternative to Substack, Google Forms, DappRaddar, Bitcointalk, CoinTelegraph and many more.
- LeoVerse as the True, decentralized, Everything App
- leoVerse as a tech oriented company, with an underpinning blockchain technology called Hive.
Considering the above, I consider the following names as more suitable for the new LeoVerse we all desire to project for mass adoption. This is where the names Peeps, Leopals and LeoPedia comes to mind.
1. Peeps
The name "peeps" means friends or associate. Looking at Threads, and Communities features of the LeoVerse really defines why we should be called friends.
Peeps(dot)io is still open and it would be so easy to call both the platform and it's users as peeps. Peeps is so unique!
2. LeoPals
A pal is a friend and so pals refer to friends. The prefix Leo is to retain the identity of the Leo token being the utility token of the entire platform, and to indicate that we're friends at the lion's level.
The domain for leopals(dot)com or io is still available. Calling users on the LeoPal platform as pals would be awesome. Anyone can fit in despite his niche interest.
3. LeoPedia
I've already written a post on LEOPEDIA: A Learn to Earn Platform in Waiting where I saw leopedia as a Learn-to-Earn platform which can make anyone learn about crypto while also earning some crypto in the process through taking tasks and more. Glad that the LeoFinance proposal also looks at that critically in its marketing drive to onboard the masses to Hive.
Using LeoPedia as a landing page and name is very inclusive as it focuses LeoVerse as a place of learning first, while the earning is silent and we learn about all niches of life.
The domain name for leopedia is still active and would be cheap to have that retained, while other faces of the LeoVerse is linked there.
Final Thoughts
Peeps, Leopals, or LeoPedia would be great names that reflect the mission and multiple value that LeoVerse is offering in a decentralized environment.
