Finally, it's time! We can officially announce our first contest within the Community. A challenge for all travelers who want to share their adventures during this time of the year, no matter if it is the snowy, foggy, rainy, or sunny season where you are.

Let the Winter Challenge begin!

Due to your working calendar or habits, we want to enjoy that many of you spend the month of December disconnecting, traveling, and visiting places, in many different ways. So from December 1st until December 31st you can enter our challenge to win some prizes!

How does it work:

From December on you can collect tickets by writing high-quality posts in order to enter the challenge and win some prizes. As easy as writing those posts, it doesn't need to be winter/holiday related, but if you include this theme and share it as a snap you can have even more chances to win a prize.

Prizes will be drawn by accumulated "tickets", which can be obtained as follows:

• 3 Tickets if your post has been curated by WorldMapPin and you entered in the Daily Travel Digest. Please be aware that entering the Traverldigest is only possible once per day.
• 1 Ticket if the post is winter-related and you used #winterchallenge. (Examples: visiting Christmas markets, annual festivals in towns, snowboarding and winter walks, where to escape cold winter in the warm, etc.) You can do this a maximum of 2 times per day.
• 1 Ticket if you promote the daily travel digest or curated posts by worldmappin community Snaps using #worldmappin, #winterchallenge and #traveldigest. Also, here, you have a maximum of 2 times per day.

So you can reach a maximum of 7 tickets per day.

What are you waiting for? Prepare yourself and get ready!

• Write a travel-related post in the WorldMapPin Community

• Pin your post to the map at https://worldmappin.com/

• Write at least 500 words (If you post in two languages, a minimum of one thousand words between the two) and use at least 3 pictures.

• Include the hashtag #winterchallenge

• Be sure to follow the community rules

• Make a Snap in worldmappin community about curated posts or Daily Travel Digest to get an extra ticket using the Hashtag #traveldigest, #worldmappin and #winterchallenge

You already saw our awesome goodies at Hivefest this year and some of you even could win some at the game there. As so many of you asked afterward where you could get them from, we ordered some more and threw them into the prize pool.

That means now, finally, you can win your own WorldMapPin hoodie along with the project's stickers. With that, you not only have great new gadgets but also help the community to grow and spread the WorldMapPin pin around the world by pinning the badge in the places you visit.

Of course, we also have 150 HBD and other coins like BEER and QUEER Tokens in the pot.

Winners announcement:

The drawing will take place after the contest deadline, to carefully evaluate each entry.

• 2 Hoodies with the WorldMapPin logo and stickers
  We will raffle 2 hoddies and proof of pin stickers, among all the tickets obtained by the participating users. From this, we will have 2 randomly selected winners, to whom the prize will be sent by regular mail, so you must know that at some point we will need your shipping information.

• Prize Pool for the top 10
  For the 10 users with the highest number of tickets accumulated during the month, there will be a prize pool with BEER tokens, QUEER tokens, and 150 HBD provided by the sponsors @peakd and @worldmappin. They will be distributed equally according to the number of tickets obtained.

• WorldMapPin Winter Challenge Badge
  All participants who meet the requirements will get the challenge badge, specially created by @hivebuzz for our winter challenge.

¡Por fin ha llegado el momento! Ya podemos anunciar oficialmente nuestro primer concurso dentro de la Comunidad. Un reto para todos los viajeros que quieran compartir sus aventuras durante esta época del año, sin importar si es temporada de nieve, niebla, lluvia o sol donde te encuentres.

¡Que comience el Reto de Invierno!

Por cuestiones del calendario laboral o de hábitos, queremos aprovechar que muchos de ustedes pasan el mes de diciembre desconectando, viajando y visitando lugares de muchas maneras diferentes. Así que desde el 1 de diciembre hasta el 31 de diciembre ¡puedes participar en nuestro reto para ganar algunos premios!

¿Cuál es el mecanismo?

A partir de diciembre podrás conseguir tickets si escribes posts de gran calidad para participar en el reto y ganar algunos premios. Es tan fácil como escribir esos posts, no hace falta que estén relacionados con el invierno o las vacaciones, pero si incluyes este tema y lo compartes por #snaps de @peakd puedes tener aún más posibilidades de ganar un premio.

Los premios se sortearán por «tickets» acumulados, que pueden obtenerse de la siguiente manera:

• 3 Tickets si el post ha sido curado por WorldMapPin y ha entrado en el Daily Travel Digest. Ten en cuenta que entrar en el Traverldigest sólo es posible una vez al día.
• 1 Ticket si el post está relacionado con la temporada de invierno y has utilizado la etiqueta #winterchallenge. (Ejemplos: visitar mercados navideños, festivales anuales en ciudades, paseos por la nieve y en invierno, cómo escapar del frío invierno en el calor, etc.). Puedes hacerlo un máximo de 2 veces al día.
• 1 Ticket si promocionas uno de los posts de nuestro Daily Travel Digest por Snaps en la Comunidad de worldmappin, usando #worldmappin, #winterchallenge y #traveldigest. También aquí tienes un máximo de 2 oportunidades por día.

Por tanto, puede conseguir un máximo de 7 tickets cada día.

• Fija tu post con un Pin en el mapa en https://worldmappin.com/

  Sortearemos 2 sudaderas y pegatinas proof of pin, entre todos los tickets obtenidos por los usuarios participantes. De aquí saldrán 2 ganadores elegidos al azar, a los que se les enviará el premio por correo ordinario, por lo que es importante que sepas que en algún momento necesitaremos tus datos de envío.

• Piscina de recompensas para el top 10
  Para los 10 usuarios con mayor número de tickets acumulados durante el mes, habrá una bolsa de premios con tokens BEER, tokens QUEER y 150 HBD aportados por los patrocinadores (@peakd y @worldmappin). Éstos se repartirán equitativamente según el número de tickets obtenidos.

• Insignia del Reto de Invierno de WorldMapPin.
  Todos los participantes que cumplan los requisitos obtendrán la insignia del concurso, creada especialmente por @hivebuzz para nuestro reto de invierno.
