There's a little bit more than a day left until the end of this Splinterlands season and I honestly cannot wait for it to end. Overall, I'm pleased that I was able to brawl out of Bronze hell and make it into Gold league but my daily quest rewards have been crap.

At the end of this season, one thing I can say for sure is that getting one or two gold chests is not better than getting 10 Silver chests. So, at the end of the day, my decision to move up to Gold haunted me throughout the season.

Next season, I'm going to stay in the Silver league until the last day and then advance, to ensure that I start the next season in Silver league once again.

Anyway, this season is basically my reintroduction to SPlinterlands, so I figured that there would be a lot of mistakes. However, I need to cut them out as soon as possible and start making profit because I'm investing a decent chunk of money into this game.

I'm on course to end the season with 90 Bronze chests for the season and frankly speaking, I'm not really expecting much. At best, the 90 chests will probably bring in $2 worth of rewards and that's still a far cry from what I've invested.

Anyway, this was always going to be a marathon and many of my investments in my monsters will span three months or more. This gives me enough time to accumulate rewards over the next couple of seasons and at a higher league, I reckon things will get better.

Better odds

The earning gap between Bronze league and Silver league is much larger than the gap between Silver and gold. At the time of writing:

  • Bronze chests offer 0.2% of Legendary and 0.5% for Gold foil.
  • Silver chests offer 0.8% legendary and 2% Gold foil
  • Gold Chests offer 1.2% legendary and 3% Gold foil

Now, considering that I can't quite cut it at Gold level and staying there means I only get one or two chests per day, it only makes sense that I stay in the Silver league.

Considering my options, Silver league offers the best odds and fastest growth potential for my deck. Silver league offers the best value in both quality and quantity of rewards that I can potentially receive.

Another thing that really keeps me rooted in Silver league is the fact that I've been liquidating my assets to raise funds for our relocation and with more assets destined to be sold, Silver league looks like the best place for me to recoup some value that I have let go.

So, yeah, I'm going to be one of the happiest people at the end of this season. Not only am I going to be opening 90 Bronze chests, but I'll also be moving back down to Silver league where I generally tend to dominate with my deck and even broke into \
